The laughter
Days pasted and three things remained the same at Tina's house.
Mikey was still making himself at home there.
Zee refused to go back to the house, no matter how many times Tina stood at her door trying to coax her to come out.
And the third thing?
Xaolin as actually been avoiding Zapook and Mikey.
And while Zapook claims to be smarter than Zee, they both seem to take a while before catching on to something.
"You know what? I haven't seen Zee in awhile." Zapook sighed, setting down a news paper.
Mikey was just finishing a bowl of cereal. He causally smiled, setting his bowl down, "You make it sound as if it were a bad thing! I like being able to stroll around here without fear of becoming someone's meal."
Zapook glared at the red headed boy, "You do realize I devour people, too. Correct?"
"Uh Huh! I also know that you only do that because Zee does it, and that I'm exactly 1.4 ft taller then the largest you can actually eat."
Zapook stared at him for a few seconds before letting her head slam to the kitchen table, a low growl escaping her throat.
Mikey only giggled, then reached across the table for Zapook's paper. "You know what else?"
Zapook lifted her head, still growling a bit as she looked at Mikey.
"I haven't seen Xaolin in a while either."
"Her name is Yinxao. And you're right. Where has she gotten to."
"Well...I got good news and bad news..."
Zapook's elf like ears twitched, "Bad news first. I'm already in a pissy mood."
"Well. Bad news is, I really think she's avoiding us."
"Oh, is that so. And what makes you think that?"
"Just a certain vibe I've been getting."
"And the good news?"
"I just saved a bunch of money by sw-"
"Finish that, and I'll shove you into the kitchen oven."
"...Sheesh...Grouch." Mikey frowned, holding up the news paper, "I was really going to say cat girl disappearances were down."
"How the hell is that good news!?"
"....You know three cat girls that you consider family?"
Zapook blinked, scratching her head, "Good point. Speaking of, Where is Tina?"
"She said something about trying to get that crazy cat demon back."
Mean while, at 'that crazy cat demon's house', Tina was going around to all the windows, banging on each one, trying her best to get at least get a look at her sister. Zee was locked tight in her bedroom, and the only window in there was closed shut, shades pulled down. Tina stopped randomly at one of the windows, trying to catch her breath, and peered through it just to see Wolven peering back at her. He mew happily and pawed at the glass. Tina pointed toward the front door, and looked back and forth, trying to piece together what she was trying to say. A sudden yell from Zee's room caused Wolven to jump, and he quickly turned toward the door. Tina tried to see what was going on, but couldn't see much except for Wolven looking back a her sadly. She then saw nothing as Wolven pulled the shades down, did so with all the windows of the house. Tina sighed and decided to return to her own home once more.
As Tina made her way back, she stopped every few seconds to the sounds of giggling. "Excuse me?"
More giggling echoed around her, making her whirl around where she stood. "Yinxao...? How do you know of a friend of our house?"
The giggling drew closer, a small breeze picking up around Tina as she continued to search for the one causing the laughter. "...I don't understand...My..home? What is happening?!"
