"Kit, your friend is here!" Izuko said from the living room.
"woof? It's a school morning, who would be here?" I asked myself. I picked up my bag and went into the living room. Yamazaru was at the door. "Eh, why're you here?"
"What, can't I come visit once in a while?" he asked, smiling innocently.
"Um, it's a school morning. No one visits in the morning."
"sorry, didn't mean to upset you. But since I'm here, do ya wanna walk to school with me?"
"So that's his true goal," Izuko muttered.
"Sorry, I've gotta walk with Akaru and Kuma."
"Aw, ya sure?" he asked, a bit disappointed.
I sighed when I remembered what had happened a few nights ago at the slumber party. I had a feeling thats what this was about. "Fine," I said, "but just for today."
He smiled. "Thanks. Let's go then or we'll be late."
"Alright then. Kuma, Akaru, let's go! We'll be late again if ya don't hurry!"
"Yes, Mistress," Akaru said, coming into the room.
"Where's Kuma?"
"Still getting ready."
"Kuma, hurry it up! We'll be late again because of you!"
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" he said as he came in, carrying his bag over his shoulder. "Geez, you're kind of annoying, Kit. You've changed from when we were kids."
"Aw, shut it and let's go."
"Hey, Kit," Izuko said as we were about to leave.
"What now?"
He handed me a bag. "They're for Baka."
"Meh, whatever, I gotta go!" I ran out the door towards the school.

"There you are, nya!" Rin said, clinging to me when I entered the classroom.
"Did something happen?" I asked.
"There's a new student!" She pointed to a guy in the corner staring out the window. He had chin-length black hair and seemed to be a loner.
"A new student this late in the year? Weird."
"Yep. He transfered from somewhere across town. I wasn't paying much attention."
"Figures. Oh well. Doesn't matter. It's not like we'll talk to him anyways."
"Guess so..."
"Exactly." I set my stuff down and took my seat. Rin sat on my desk
"So, what's with you and Yama-chan?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.
"Absolutely nothing. There's nothing between us whatsoever."
"You're lying. You like him, don't you?"
I blushed. "W-what the Hell are you talking about? I do not."
"Then why're ya blushing?"
"Because that was a ridiculous question!"
She giggled. "You're a terrible liar, ya know."
"Hmph. You're just making accusations."
"If you say so. Anyway, class is about to start."

"Yay!" Baka said when I handed him the bag.
"Hey, Kitsuki-san, who is that behind you?" Tori asked.
"Hm?" I turned and saw the new boy from our class. "He's the new guy. No idea why he followed me though."
Rin giggled. "He's been staring at you all morning," she whispered.
"Eh? Why didn't you say anything?"
"I didn't think about it..."
I sighed. "You're so slow, Rin."
"Yep!"
"That's not a good thing! Anyways, what're we gonna do about him?"
"I think Alef's taking care of it," Yamazaru said.
I turned around again and saw Alef talking to the new guy. He didn't seem to mind. She pulled him towards us. "Hey, guys, this is Ryo!" she said happily.
"Ryo?" I said. "Nice. Haven't heard a name like that in a while."
"Your name is quite odd as well," Ryo said.
"Shut it. I happen to like my name."
He put his hand on my shoulder. " I apologize, Kitsuki Yamasaki."
I glared at him. "Sorry, but, I don't wanna have a gay relationship with you, Ryo." I moved his hand away. "Ew, your hands are like a girl's."
"Excuse me?"
"You have girl hands."
"No I don't. That's rude to say."
"I'm saying it because it's true." I smiled.
"No it isn't. Don't even suggest that."
"Yes it is. But whatever. I'm gonna go write." I went to the place I usually sat on the roof. I pulled my notebook from my bag and started writing.

"Bye, nya!" Neko said, waving to Akaru as we went the opposite way.
"So what were you writing about today, Mistress?" Akaru asked.
"Same as usual," I replied. "Just another story."
"You write too much," Kuma sighed. "Get a real life, geez."
"Shut up! I'll write if I want to! It's the only thing I can actually do right! My stories are the only place I can escape to!"
"S-sorry..."
"Hmph." I ran ahead of them. Meet ya at home!"

"What's he doing up here?" I muttered when I saw Ryo on the roof at lunch the next day.
"I invited him!" Rin said.
Ryo just waved and went back to eating.
"Why did you invite Girl-Hands to eat with us?!"
"I was just being nice..."
"Who cares?!"
"Yama-chan said it was okay..."
"I don't care if he said it was!" I glanced over at the monkey-boy and blushed slightly when I remembered the events of the slumber party. I don't know why that came to mind every time I saw him.
Rin giggled. "I was right! you like him!"
"W-what are you talking abut, Rin?"
"It's really obvious, you know," Alef said behind me, making me jump.
"Don't scare me like that!"
"Heh, sorry, but it is really obvious that you like 'Zaru-kun. Almost everyone knows."
"W-what? You guys are crazy."
"Are we really? Then why are ya still blushing?"
"Because...because you're making stupid accusations!"
"You're such a bad liar, Kit."
"That's what I said!" Rin said.
"Both of you shut up!" I stuck my tongue out at them and went to my spot for writing.
