"Stupid Alef and Rin," I muttered as I walked home next to Akaru, Kuma, and Neko. "I don't like him."
"Just admit it already," Kuma said with a sigh.
"Why not just tell him, nya?" Neko asked.
"Because...well, if I did, I wouldn't know what to say..." I muttered.
"Thats proof enough for me!" Kuma said. "She admitted it!"
I blushed. "Okay, fine! I admit it. I like Yamazaru! There, I said it!"
Kuma pulled out his open phone which he had hidden. "How's that for a confession, Yamazaru?" he asked the person on the other end.
I heard Yamazaru sigh on the other side. "I told you not to force her to say anything," he said.
"I didn't! She said it on her own!"
I blushed. "Kuma, why the Hell would you do that?!" I growled.
"I understand that you're mad, Kit, but it was for a good cause."
"I'm so sorry, Kit," Yamazaru said through the phone. "I swear, I didn't want it to happen this way. I was waiting for you to tell me yourself."
"Then why would you even allow him to do this?!" I asked.
"I disagreed but he was persistent!"
I turned away. "Don't talk to me again, Kuma." I ran off. I didn't know where I was going. I just wanted to get away. Eventually, I came to a small field. I curled up on the ground, ready to cry.
"Hey, it's you," a voice behind me said. "That wolf-girl."
I sat up and looked at who had spoken. A familiar person stood there, his hands in his pockets. "Ryo..." I whispered.
He knelt down beside me. "What're you doing here?" he asked, pushing my hair out of my face.
"I just...needed to get away, that's all."
"You look like you're about to cry. What's wrong?"
"People are jerks, Ryo, that's what's wrong."
"I've been told that." He smiled and wiped my eyes. "You gonna be okay, Kit?"
I stood up. "I think so." I heard Akaru, Neko, and Kuma calling for me in the distance. "But I don't want to go back just yet."
He shrugged. "I understand. I guess you can hang out at my place for a while. I kinda live alone so it's not a problem."
"I wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable..."
"It's fine. I have a roommate, but he's almost never home. He's always hunting or something."
"Alright...I guess it'll be fine...thanks, Ryo."
"Sure. Everyone needs to get away once in a while."
I nodded and followed him.

Ryo lived in a small house. It wasn't very decorated, but I hadn't expected it to be. "Welcome home," someone shouted from the living room.
"So you are here today," Ryo shouted back.
"Yeah, I didn't feel like hunting today."
"Ah, I see." Ryo and I went into the living room. A wolf-boy about the age of 20 sat on the couch. He looked a bit like an older Akaru except with gray eyes and whiter hair. He looked sort of familiar for some reason. "Kit, this is my roommate, Shiro," Ryo introduced.
Shiro stood up. "Oh my...Kitsuki, it is you..."
I realized why he looked so familiar. He was Akaru's older brother...and the one I was engaged to. "Sh-Shiro-sama..."
Shiro held me close to him. "It's been so long, Kit. I've missed you so much."
I relaxed in his grip. "I've missed you as well, Shiro-sama..."
"So...you two know each other?" Ryo asked.
"Yes, Ryo," Shiro said. "Kitsuki is my fiance."
I blushed with the use of that word and nodded in agreement. "Please, don't tell anyone, Ryo. I'll do anything, just please don't tell. Especially Akaru."
"Why?" Ryo asked. "What's so bad about it? If you're gonna be married, you should be happy about it"
"I am, but if Shiro-sama and I get married before Akaru does then Shiro-sama and I will have to take over the pack."
"So?"
"There's no way I'd be able to control a pack of thirty or more wolves!"
Shiro chuckled. "You're exaggerating. There's only about 21 in the entire pack, including, the pups."
"That's still a lot, Shiro-sama!"
"So, why can't I tell Akaru?" Ryo asked."
"Because Shiro-sama is Akaru's older brother."
"And you want him to take over the pack before you two get married."
"Yes...exactly..."
"Alright. I'll keep quiet."
"Really? You will?"
"Sure. I'll help. Shiro's been letting me stay with him all these years, this is the least I can do to help."
I let go or Shiro and hugged Ryo. "Thanks, Ryo! I owe you big time!"
"Y-yeah, sure..."

"I should get back," I said. "Thanks for letting me stay, Ryo. I needed it."
Shiro's ears lowered. "Do you have to go? Can't you at least stay the night?"
I looked up at him. He looked so sad. "I don't know, Shiro-sama. I don't have a change of clothes or anything to sleep in."
"You can sleep in something of mine. And you have school tomorrow. Your uniform should be fine."
Ryo sighed. "You just wanna get her in bed, Shiro. You only wanna sleep with her."
"That's not true, Ryo. I love her more than anything."
I blushed. "Shiro-sama..."
He smiled. "Will you stay? Please, it's been so long since I've seen you. Don't leave me alone again so soon."
"A-alright...I'll stay..."
Shiro held me close to him. "Thank you, Kit. You don't know how much this means to me."
I smiled up at him. "I'll do anything for you, Shiro-sama."

"Hurry it up, Kitsuki!" Ryo said. "I hate being late!"
"Calm down, Ryo," I said, meeting him by the front door. "I'm ready."
Shiro turned me around and kissed me gently. "I wish you didn't have to go," he said. "It seems as if you just got here."
"I'm sorry, Shiro-sama. But I have to so I can be a good wife to you some day."
He blushed. "W-well, I guess so..."
"Meet me after school, okays?"
"Okay...I will..."
I smiled and left with Ryo.

"Kit, where were you?!" Yamazaru said when he saw me. "I was so worried that you were hurt or something. You're not, are you?"
"I'm fine, 'Zaru," I muttered.
"I looked everywhere for you. Where'd ya go?"
I glanced at Ryo. "No where. Just wandering."
"I'm serious, Kit. If anything happened to you, I don't know what I'd do. I...I love you, Kit."
I froze. I had no idea what to say.
