society tells us today that most of our probs come from low self esteem... Which always confused me as the Bible told us that we needed to be selfless, or to love our neighbours as our selves and so on. So where did we get the idea that we need to love ourselves... I mean we're born loving ourselves. Kids are some of the most self centered creatures in the world. we LEARN to share and to care for others.
If we feel badly about ourselves it's because those around us are reflecting bad back at us.
We are supposed to love each other. This isn't to say we need to be doormats. we just need to care more about other people than we do about ourselves... and that's hard to do in and of yourself. This is why we need Christ centered lives.
