i don't really remember much after i wake up... which is a pity, but i do retain bits.

yesterdays involved a pair of half blood vampire girls, teens who live with there other than human mum and human step dad.

dad is the vampire and he and mum are are ex's with all than entails and then some.
Mum has taught her darling daughters to hunt and slay any vampire the instant they sense it. Definitely other than amicable break up.

dear dad sees his girls as marriage bait and nothing more. The oldest is 17 and definitely of marriageable age. The younger, at 12 isn't ripe yet but she can still be betrothed to the son ( cool of an ally of his. He sets up in the abandoned house next door for the binding ceremony and sends an invite to the girls, saying he wishes to see them and reconcile.

The girls response is a cynical 'yeah right,' but they go anyway, willingly walking into the trap as mother is monitoring them.

no sooner than they are thru the door, they are immobiliezed, dad, his new squeeze, his ally and his allies two sons come out and make a start.

He should really have taken note of the girl's calmness, elder son sure did.

mum busts in (they were her ticket in) and break things up, the various vampires fleeing for their lives.

some time later, mum is preg to step dad... but step dad is acting really weird.
he's possessed by dad who wants back into their house hold (it's been sealed against him.) and possessed step dad to pull it off. The kid will be his new host body (his is currently beginning to fail)

Mum's senses are being fogged by dad but the girls get suspicious pretty quick and seal both mum and step dad. dad's presence is evicted with extreme prejudiced. this kicks the latent kid's spirit awake and it's able to shield itself from, reinforcing the shielding on it's mother.

it communicates with it's sibs in dreams, wondering what is should be, male, female or other.

The help it way up the pro's and con's and it decides to be female, since the person most directly responsible for it's creation (dad) was trying for a male. Thing was it was already a bit along, so when it's born it's in female form but when it invokes it's magic, it takes a male form. while not half vamp like she is a natural born adept, able to feel and interact with the magic field pretty much prenatally on wards.

comes in useful when a couple of years later, the oldest girl starts dating a guy who seems vaguely familiar. Think, the oldest son of dad's ally, under a spell the renders him human to all senses except on the night of the full moon. He's done this so that sister's kill all vamp instincts are not triggered.

the down side is on his one night of undeath he'll go off the deep end on a slaughter fest.

Elder sis wants to know why. they were officially betrothed and while it might not mean much to her, he is anxious to wed his fathers pick for him... besides, he liked her looks, her spunk, in fact the entire package.

His bro was to young to remember her sister perhaps but he remembers her, very well and would have her as his bride.

E S isn't sure how she feels about that. younger sib to the rescue, with a magical make over. he's still a vamp at base but like wearing a mask, he's just human enough that he doesn't trigger E S kill response. he's still more vamp than human at night and at the full moon but he won't go nuts due to blood lust. he's been sealed to a degree but he controls the level of seal and power he uses... except on nights of the full moon.

youngest sib also blunted E S senses a bit so that she isn't so hyper sensitive to him... but only where he is concerned. mother is disgruntled but father is delighted, though that isn't the reason elder son sought Elder sister out.
