((So I found this old chapter from my fanfic The Legend of Zelda: The Dimensional Keys. And lo and behold, this is a chapter where Sora and his gang meet my character Lynn. Their encounter was so funny, I had to share this.))
Lynn blacked out as she tumbled into the new world. When she awoke, the green trees she was used to in the Forest of Time surrounded her. “Wait, I thought I opened a portal to a new world…not vice versa. What is this place?” She wandered aimlessly for a while trying to follow a straight path on the dirt road, until finally fatigue hit. She wrapped her light brown cloak around her body, and curled up into a ball at the base of a tree. She quickly fell asleep afterwards.
Just down the road from Lynn, were a group of three travelers. One traveler garbed in a strange red jacket and carrying a key-like blade, another traveler was a humanoid dog wearing a green, guard uniform and carrying a shield, and the last was a humanoid duck wearing wizard robes and carrying a wand. All three stopped when they saw a strange, brown lump by a tree.
“What do ya think that could be, Sora?” questioned the one with the shield.
“I don’t know,” said the one with the blade. He put his hand to his chin and began to ponder.
“Well, it looks suspicious to me,” said one with the wand.
“Gosh, ya think its suspicious Donald,” questioned the shield-barer.
“What are the chances we come across something like this, Goofy? We’ve been traveling in this bizarre forest for hours now, and we still haven’t come across an exit or anything. And yet, we find this.” He pointed to the lump again. Just then Lynn gave a low yawn, and moved slightly.
All three of them jumped in surprise. “It’s alive,” yelled Donald.
“Go-gosh, do you think it’s human?” stuttered Goofy.
“Of course, it’s not human,” yelled Donald. “Just look at it.”
“I don’t know,” said Sora. He approached the lump and loomed over it. Lynn made no sudden movements, other than her breathing.
“What are you doing?” yelled Donald. “That thing could eat you!”
Sora smiled, “I don’t think it will eat anyone. I think who or whatever is sleeping.”
“Sleeping?” Donald and Goofy said in unison.
Sora nodded his head, “Yeah, sleeping. We should wake them up; they might know how to get out of this place.”
“That’s a good idea, Sora. A-hyuk.” Goofy walked to Sora’s side.
“You both are nuts,” said Donald as he reluntantly joined them. “Don’t blame me when this thing tries to eat us.” All three in unison shook the brown lump. Lynn violently jolted up, almost knocking the three to the ground.
“Eh, what’s going on?” she hazily said. Her light brown cloak wrapped gently around her as she stood up, giving her more of a human silhouette.
“Gack, don’t eat us,” Donald yelled.
“Eat you, why would I want to eat you?” she chuckled under her cloak. Sora walked up to Lynn, “I’m sorry, my friend thought you were a monster.”
Lynn laughed even harder, “A monster? Well, I’m no monster. Just a traveler.” She then took off her cloak, revealing her green tunic and light brown boots and gloves to them. “See, would a monster look like this?” She motioned to herself.
Sora and Goofy laughed in unison. Donald only grimaced. “Well you did look like a monster,” Donald muttered under his breath.
“My name’s Lynn, by the way.” She held out her hand to Sora.
“My name’s Sora,” he shook her hand. “And this is Donald and Goofy,” he motioned to the two that were behind him. Goofy waved at her, while Donald looked at the ground.
((The chapter gets more serious after that, just wanted to share the humourous part of the story. ^-^))
