Well…that conversation lasted long, didn’t it? Sighing as Yoshiro didn’t seem to reply. Annoyed, Kaiko rolled her eyes. These boys were such snobs sometimes. If it weren’t for their mother’s kindness, the girl probably wouldn’t have tolerated them half as well as she did. When she did. Sometimes, she didn’t even bother to pretend to like them. But whatever. Today was an ok morning so far. It would be a waste of time to let herself be cranky just because of a boy.

Kai spent the next few minutes eating her apple and thinking to herself about silly things. Her hello kitty covered feet tapped the floor impatiently as she waited for something more interesting to happen. Watching the other’s argue and then pretend to make up in a very unenthusiastic way was boring. Every one seemed to suddenly simmer down, at least Ayako seemed too. Everyone else’s current mood was a mystery to the quiet girl. But not a mystery she really cared to solve. Instead of worrying about the state of affairs of the breakfast table in the Fujimora Home, or possibly trying to solve it like Chizuko, Kaiko ignored them. It was a usual practice for her. Dealing with people was a pain.

It wasn’t until Fujimori-sama walked into the room with that usual air of self-importance that Kaiko bothered paying attention to anyone. She stood, pushing her seat away with the back of her legs, and bowed her head. It was a simple gesture of respect. Kaiko may not have been the most social girl in the world, but she was at least brought out to be a polite girl. It wasn’t such a big deal, anyway. Mrs. Fujimora had taken her in when things were starting to get a little rough. It made the flower shop girl feel almost happy to be able to show her thanks.

Not that she’d have treated any of the boys as nicely. They were all spoiled brats, even the ones that Kaiko could tolerate.

“Ohayo, Fujimora-sama.” She said before sitting down again, and continuing to eat her apple as breakfast was served. She looked at all the food in front of her with slight disgust, wrinkling her nose. Don’t get her wrong. The food looked fine. It wasn’t that she didn‘t think it looked good. But Kai just…wasn’t hungry. Her apple would suit her just fine for the morning.

She sighed, having to fight the urge to shake her head. She wouldn’t ruin breakfast for everyone else by seeming rude.

It seemed like she wasn’t the only one planning on doing something this weekend. It was too warm to stand around in a hot house and waste away. Kaiko thought to herself about the things she could try and busy herself with.
