Appearance
Danica is, at least at first glance, the utter definition of fragility. She stands at five feet 6 inches tall and only weighs a mere 102 pounds. Thanks to the combination of her height, weight, and fashionably small curves, she has a waif-like figure with long legs and a flat stomach. After so long of living and surviving on her own, however, Danica is a lot tougher than she looks. The first, and probably only clue a person would have to this at first glance is how well toned her body is. She has sun-lit blonde hair that is well cared for and usually pulled back so not to get in her way. She has deep grey eyes, one eye being a lot brighter than the other thanks to what she can only assume to be a case of heterochromia following a rather nasty fist fight. One eye, her left, is a dark grey while the color in her right could be best compared to a light cloudy grey.
Thanks to her small size, Danica can fit into pretty much any type of clothing she finds (though she often needs to make a few adjustments lest she swim in some of the things she finds). As of right now, she favors faded and severely tattered jeans with lace up decorations going down the side of her hips in thin brown leather strips. She almost always wears black tank tops, and over that she favors denim or leather jackets, as they’re more durable than other flimsy materials. For the same reason, Danica also usually wears steel-toed boots.
And lastly, Danica’s ears are both pierced twice, her nose once, and she also has a tattoo of a Celtic design on her right hip.
Personality
The first thing someone who gets close enough to her would notice about Danica is that she has an uncanny ability to see the brighter side of every problem, no matter how hopeless it is. She doesn't let herself feel sad or depressed because she knows that such things aren't useful. She never slows down and always forces herself to go on. This is one of her more annoying qualities because she doesn't know when to quit. Once Danni sets her mind on a goal, there's no stopping her, even if she gets hurt.
If Danica trusts you, she'll show you an almost normal side of her. It doesn't take her long to warm up to a person as long as they're not trying to kill her or steal from her or something. And likes to make people feel comfortable and happy, even though she's not always good at it. But at the same time, she's very lazy and doesn't really go out of her way for other people like a mushy-mush. It just doesn't hurt to have a little fun, you know? Danni is as tough as she needs to be to get through life, but she can also be a hell of a partner if she's bored enough.
She's very self-sufficient and knows how to take care of herself. If, for some ungodly reason she decides another person needs her help, she's more than able to protect a few other people as well.
But when she's in danger, the fun ends. If her life is in danger, Danica makes a full 180 and is almost soldier-like. She doesn't fool around, she's serious, and isn't afraid to hurt or kill someone if it means just surviving to see at least one more sunrise. One thing is for certain about Danica, though. If she doesn't trust you, she'll watch you like al hawk and she's always dangerous even though she's usually at a disadvantage.
History
The Bride family was a fairly average one. Neither Mr. or Mrs. Bride had ever been to collage and they didn't do very well financially. They had a daughter named Danica. This baby was a real handful, but they loved her none the less. Things didn't get much easier as time went on, but the family managed. Holidays were tight, they didn't go out much, and Danica never had the hot new gadgets that all the other little kids had. She always saw a bright side to it, though. Yeah, so they didn't have much. But Danica was a grown up before she had a chance to be a kid. She learned how to take care of herself and entertain herself when her parents couldn't. Her father was sick and her mother struggled to support the three.
She was generally popular at school so she always had some friends around, though it was hard to trust them. People were...not trust-worthy most of the time. Danica never really let herself be open around very many people, but she loved being around them no less.
Then The End came. It would be an understatement to say that "everything changed". There was no one left where she lived. Just Danni. She may have been independant, but she was hardly self-sufficient at the time. But she had to push on if she wanted to live. So, on she went. It was hard to leave her home even though there was nothing left, though. Now she's traveling all on her own. She'd adjusted well, but it's still hard. Danica takes up odd jobs when she can but she usually just finds her own food and supplies.
Quirks/Random Notes
• Danni is very mildly claustrophobic and doesn’t like sleeping indoors. She’s extremely afraid of coffin-tight spaces and avoids any situation where she would have to deal with such a thing like the black plague.
• Will never touch a cigarette and hates the smell of the smoke
• Danni doesn’t like cats. They’re just creepy.
