Midnight Eyes, Hate filled Lies. [[Title]]
The Dream Chapter 1

Carolynn Gates woke up quickly with sweat dripping down her face. “The dream had changed!” she thought. She sat up in bed struggling to remember the unusual ending in her year long dream. “Please, please come to me. Please, I have got to remember.” she thought. Frustrated with her lapse of memory, she climbed out of bed and looked at her clock. “8:45 A.M.? What am I doing laying around?” she spoke outloud this time. When she heard the deafining echo of silence, she glanced over to the other side of the bed. “Hmm.. Where’d Micheal go?” she wondered silently to herself. Mmm Micheal was yummy, she laughed lightly at her memories of the night before. He was amazing, that boy sure did know how to make her happy. She sighed, “Too bad I’ll probably never see him again. That boys taste was rather appetising.” she thought. She finally got up after mourning over something that she shouldn’t be. After all, this is how it went almost everytime she brought a guy home. They’re always the same, A Hit and Run. She rolled her eyes at the thought. Then she made a disgusted sound at herself. “Why do you care, you enjoy them just as much as they do. You even like it that you don’t have to sit there and cuddle with the ones that aren’t so good looking.” she thought. Micheal was a good looking one though. He was 6’4’’, dark green eyes, a body of a swimmer, and short spiked black hair. He was, for lack of a better word, goregous. With emphasis on the Gore and the Gous. She laughed at herself, while she undressed to go shower. She stood in the mirror examining her body, to make sure that there was no visable evidence of her companion’s rough nature on her skin. “No.. but I spy a hickey.” she said in a light bubbly voice. She smiled even more after her shower, when she found out that it was visable above her shirt. Good thing she took picktures of each of her nightly visitors. This would make everyone jealous… Perfect.. She smiled evily at the thought.

All of a sudden, a memory hit her. It wasn’t real life as far as she could tell, but it did seem realistic.

“A young girl was being dragged through the forest around 1 A.M. Her body was limp, as if she was unconscious. A tall, dark figure was in front of her, picking her up at times to make sure she didn’t get hurt. By around 6, they reached a tall widow tree. By the light of the early morning she was awaken. Her visioned blurred at first, then slowly it cleared up. She immediately panicked when she realized that she was still in the woods. She looked around her quickly and noticed a man’s body lying a few feet away from her own. The rise and fall of his chest told her that he was still alive. She moved over to hover above him. His features were dark and handsome. “He is beautiful.” she thought. She leaned forward to do an overview of him, and to make sure he wasn’t injured. The blood… She remembered that there was blood, but it wasn’t there anymore. The smell was gone too. She backed off of the man, and stared in awe at his beauty. “Maybe if I touch him, he’ll disappear, and I’ll go back to thinking I’m crazy like everyone else does.” she thought sadly. She reached forward with her hand, and pressed it lightly on his cheek. To her astonishment, it was cold, and as smooth as silk. He didn’t react to her touch, so she cupped his face in her hand and moved forward. “Maybe if I kiss him, it will work.” Still holding his face in her hands she moved her face towards his. She pressed her eyes closed, and layed her lips on his. She heard a growl from deep in his throat. She immediately opened her eyes, and looked in to his own light blue eyes. He took her face into his hands aswell and deepend their kiss. Pushing his tongue past her lips, to fight with hers. As quickly as this had started, he finished it. Pushing her away before it got too far..”

Carolynn snapped back into reality as the memory left her. “Ooohhh, I think I like that dream even more now.” She said through clenched teeth. She breathed out heavily, and stood back up. She dressed quickly, and ran out the door. Being late for work was never a good thing. Especially not at her job. At her job, being as little as 15 minutes late was punished by doing whatever the boss wanted (often consisted of Demon Childcare Duty, and that is one thing no one wants to get stuck with.)

Carolynn stepped through the doors at Graceville’s Hospital. Being a nurse is a whole lot tougher than most people think. Not only that, but the clientelle change often, and are not always normal. Especially when the hospital you work at isn’t just for the humans. No, here they take in Night Stealers (what humans call vampires), Were-Humans (Wolves are the more stupid breed, attacking humans and what not), and any assortment of Demon immaginable.
Carolynn loved her job though, being a half-demon herself, she loved to ask the demon clients what was recently happening on the other side. Also, more times than not, it was always fun to fight off the corrupted demons from getting to the actual human patients. Some Demons were harder to fight off than others, but being mixed blood with Night Stealers and Demons, she did alright for her basically child age.
