Again I flinched. Love? Why would he love me? "I love everything about you, you're the only one that has recived a gift and had accepted it. Your eyes remind me of a calm strong forest, you are like the forest, you're so close to it, like it was family." he spoke softly to me, with so much care as if in fear of me rejecting his confession. I couldn't speak, it had been ages since anyone had given so much for me willingly. My thoughts turned to my mother and all whom I was leaving behind. But tears didn't surface from my eyes for I knew whom I was going with. I felt safe in his embrace, like the world had returned to peace as from my long past childhood innocence. Soon his heavy breathing makes me drift to sleep. But not before I told him, "Thank you..."

I shivered as I opened my eyes, Root? Where did he go? I quickly get up and I frantically search for him with my eyes. He just left me...While I was asleep...These dark thoughts clouded my eyes with tears. When I heard faintly beating wings. I turn and look in the distance, was that him? I start to whipe the tears away, I shouldn't let him see me weaping. He slowly came down lower with his hands full from a bag. It was my bag, why did he go through all that trouble to get that? "I'm sure you'll need these, I managed to get some of my hunting gear too and-" I cut him off, "Why Did You Go Back?! You could've gotten hurt!" I felt that I needed to defend him now, he was all I had left...He was all I needed anymore...
