Today, I'm going to talk about something a little more serious, so yeah, beware.
Last night, after their supposed truce with the Israelis, the Palestinians launched rockets across the border at the Israelis. It makes no sense what so ever for them to even have gone through the trouble of proposing a fake truce when the Palestinians have made it very clear that their purpose in life and reason for existing is wiping out the Israelis.
Now, what makes no sense is why everyone all over the world seems to be laying all the blame on Israel, never the Palestinians. It's not fair that we look over what the people inside the Gaza Strip do, when they seem to be the first to attack. I don't know why every seems to think Israel doesn't have to right to retaliate. They have a right to protect their citizens and children. What would the US do? We would very obviously send our own missiles. So would most of the people in the UN. So I don't understand why we seem to think it's so wrong.
Now in 1942 when the British still had most of the world populated, they gave Israel to the Jewish and a portion of land to the Palestinians, keeping Jerusalem under their control. It was a great idea, and now, everyone who isn't brain dead agrees that the idea of an independent Israel, an independent Palestinian, and a shared Jerusalem is the best option, but it hasn't happened yet.
Israel began expanding, leaving two separate pieces for the Palestinians. The West Bank and a 25 mile long stretch of land along the Mediterranean called the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinians have decided it is their life goal to take out the Israelis. So why, would Israel even agree to a truce in the first place? Don't they understand that there is very likely an underlying meaning for it? Like say, attacking when they feel most comfortable and safe? Duh!
So now, I don't doubt that Israel will go in and attack the people in the Gaza Strip, and the UN will lay the blame on Israel, AGAIN, and send more money to aid the people in the Gaza Strip. And who knows what they are using that money for. Just today the UN suggest they send around $613,000 to the Gaza Strip that way they can afford to buy food, water, shelter, and build up the businesses that have been lost recently.
I'm glad we want to help, but shouldn't we do something better? Why are we wasting our time aiding a lost cause? We already know that this is going to be a reoccurring process. We should go mediate, not send money to the people who are dead set on the removal of all Israelis in their sight. I mean, if you were the leader of the military in the Gaza Strip, what would you do with the $613k that you are getting for free? Use it to wipe out the enemy! I doubt the UN will make sure they watch what the Palestinians do with that money. I'm sure they have much more important things to do with their time, and as long as it doesn't threaten them, it's of no great importance what happens in other countries. Until they become directly involved, no one is going to feel the need to help more than that.
I'm not saying we should send troops and aid them in war or anything, but I think we should at least keep a close eye on them, and sort of make it known that we're watching, and might step in if needed. If they could only compromise, they could easily make an agreement. But what's the matter with compromise? Compromise seems great, but really compromise is when one side gives something up to make the other side happy. I think we should just give the Palestinians back the land the UN gave them in 1942 and SHARE Jerusalem which is the cause of most of these problems.
