Bombay's Random Writings
Random randomness from the mind of a wierd little person. That would be me.
[Rayn]
|Just a little snippet about a new RP character... well, actually, it's more like a character for a new RP x3 One I thought up and am hopefully going to start sometimes soon...like...this weekend... x3 but for now, this is a little insight into his family life and such...|

-----------

"Why can't anyone understand me?!" Rayn growled as he slammed the door to his room, succeeding in shaking a few of the shelfs precariously hung on the walls. Nothing fell, luckily. The boy merely flopped down on his bed, throwing his odd brown hat across his room in a fit of frustration. His parents didn't understand, the people didn't understand. No one did...

Why couldn't his father understand that he didn't want to go to some party for his amusement? Who cared if it was for the son of some prospective business partner? Rayn wasn't interested! He had better things to do than hang out with people half his intellegence. He didn't want to be around these self-centered, superficial morons who couldn't understand a basic RPG if it came with a four-letter instruction manual. They had no tastes!

"If he thinks I'm going to that stupid party, he's got another thing coming." The boy grumbled, pushing himself into a seated position. Remaining silent a moment, he stood and went to the door that connected his room to the next one. His 'game room' as he had dubbed it. He was an only child, so living in a four-bedroom home, he got two rooms to himself. This other room was for his amusement, and for all of the game systems his mother and grandparents had bought for him.

There were all sorts of game systems, from the basics to the newest ones around. He had shelves upon shelves of games for every system. Now, though, his eyes fell on the newest one. A virtual reality system that had come out just a year ago. There weren't many games out. Most of them were pretty cheesy and not difficult at all. He had figured them out in the span of a couple of days and had completed them all in a week each.

Now, though, he had a new game. His mother had sent it to him from Japan just as soon as it had come out. It was supposed to be the best VR game to date. Rayn didn't care, as long as it got him away from his father. Why couldn't he live with his mother? Why did they have to divorce in the first place? His mother's side of the family was rich and always sent him money, but his father wanted nothing to do with it. Was he stupid? Obviously...

The boy sighed, pushing brown strands from his pale face. Now was as good a time as any to disappear into this new world. He could only hope that it was more interesting than the others. He needed something to distract him, something to entertain him. He wanted to experience the death and failure of the virtual world. What was the fun in being able to beat it easily? He wanted that death without actually feeling the real pain. He had always been curious about it. That's why he had begged for such an expensive system in the first place. To experience that death would be exquisite.

A smirk coming to the boy's face, he went to the system and plugged it all in. Looking at the game a moment, he popped it into the system and hooked himself into the visor, earphones, gloves and boots, and all the other little sensors that would help make the experience more real. In all the other games he had experienced the pain that came with being hit...when he actually got hit. But he wanted it to be more realistic than that. How could they provide an escape if they couldn't even make the world and sensations right?

Shaking his head from the thoughts, Rayn turned on the game and got ready. A screen popped up before his eyes and a voice came over the phones in his ears. "Hello, player! Welcome to F4 - Fantasy 4ever. Welcome to the world of Loria."
