VECTOR ONE
NYU IS A BABE IN THE WOODS.
Washed up on the shore, unable to communicate, she's discovered by a pair of college students -- Kahta and Yuka -- and counts on them for everything.
LUCY IS A VICIOUS KILLER.
Equipped with a battery of deadly psycic arms, she dismembers her enemies before they have time to scream. The two personalities couldn't be more different -- if only they didn't have to share the same body!
In Elfen Lied, Volume One, innocence and evil collide in some very dark places. As the rooms in Kohta's rented house fill with runaways and killer mutants -- danger mounts outside. Whether it's from a renegade soldier or a mutant assassin -- one wrong move could mean the difference between life and death!
VECTOR TWO
AT THE CORE OF A CONSPIRACY
for a new world order lives a mutant girl who's made an army's worth of enemies. Protected only by a couple of college kids, Kohta and Yuka, the horn-headed Nyu is pursued by those who would destroy her, and those who would use her to destroy humanity.
But, as her caregivers catch glimpses of Nyu's past as the vicious Lucy, will they continue to risk their lives to protect her's? Is Lucy's trail of carnage somehow connected to Kohta's own dark past? It won't take much to upset this fragile peace.
BETWEEN THE BUBBLE BATHS AND THE BLOOD BATHS,
the predators and the puppies, the world of Elfen Lied is a world of pure innocence and explosive chaos. When the dust settles, the future of the human race depends on one horn-headed girl.
VECTOR THREE
DOES TIME HEAL ALL WOUNDS?
Or are some cuts so profound that the passing of the years only make them deeper? No one knows better than Lucy the horn-headed outcast, forced to kill by genetics and circumstace and Nana, Lucy's victim dismembered and left to die, who's make a long journy on artificial limbs to extract her revenge.
But although Lucy/Nyu's dark past doesn't excuse her staggering body count, it does explain it. In volume three, the pieces of her mysterious puzzle begin to fall into place and shed light on her murderous ways, as well as a narrow window into the memories Kohta has so carefully blocked.
But will Nana's disire for vengeance oustrip Nyu's efforts to remember her past? Will the mayhem overtake Kohta and Yuka's attempts to make a loving home on a foundation of painful memories? The answers don't come easily in the world of Elfen Lied.
VECTOR FOUR
It's the last volume of Elfen Lied. The orginization protecting humanity from the deadly power of the Diclonius is faced with the devil's bargain. Will they unleash #35, the deadliest mutant yet, to hunt Lucy down? Or, will they risk letting the notorious killer slip through the cracks?
Things have never been easy for the young misfits at the heart of this battle, but they've never had it harder than this. As Kohta learns how Nyu's past is inextricably tied to his life's greatest tragedy, he may find that protecting her means destroying himself. Even those who have already lost pieces of themselves to this brutal fight have more to loose. As Nana goes from hunter to hunted, and Bandoh from lawman to outlaw, the shadow of death creeps closer.
And what of the man the Dicloniun call "Papa?" How far will Kurama go? If he plans to save the world, this tormented father may have to give up the one thing in the world that he loves. If he plans to save his soul, he may have to give up even more.
