What defines a best friend?
Many things.

A best friend is someone you can share your life with without censorship or restraint.
If this can be obtained, it is evident that they like you for who you are.

A best friend is someone who will ask you how you're feeling, no wait... They know how you're feeling, and yet they ask you anyway.
This shows that they honestly care.

A best friend is someone who you cannot necessarily share all your secrets with because not all characters are capable of keeping a secret, but someone who can respect your secret as you keep or share it, as well as why you would do so.
This shows absolute respect and understanding.

A best friend is someone who knows you so well they could pass as family, as for the other way around.
This shows mutual honesty.

A best friend is that person that regardless of what struggles or changes you face in life they will never abandon you.
This shows that your friendship is worth much.


That, is what a best friend truely is.
