I got up for the day and took a shower and all that good stuff so that I could look presentable at the graduation ceremony. My mom wanted to take pictures of me in my cap and gown after she came back home. We had pizza and drinks to go with that. I put my graduation outfit on and I feel like an idiot wearing it. I had to do better with the pictures thing, but I didn't do a good job at all.
After that was all done, everybody had to get ready. I straightened my hair and did my make-up. My dad came home later and did his part to get ready for the ceremony. I remembered Karen telling me that they will be there to support me and another graduate they knew.
We get to the Pascagoula High School Gym a little after 6:45. Everyone was in their cap and gown. I put mine on when I got there. I wore a black and white dress with black flat shoes. My cap felt funny so I had to pin it down. One person stapled his banner to his gown. We line up on the bleachers to take a group photo. After that was done, we went outside to go ahead and line up.
Finally, when the song started playing, everyone went to their seats one at a time. But there was a cue. When someone touches the line, another person comes out. We got to our seats and the speaking parts are done.
The valedictorian does her part and talks about the future and what everyone wants to do in the future. She had a really good speech. I admire that about people like her.
We all line up to get our diplomas and pictures were taken for that too. It was finally finished after over an hour and a half. We throw our caps in the air and we all went home. We did turn in our gowns and got our real diplomas though.
I'm so glad that I had accomplished my second goal in life and that's graduating high school. My third goal is coming up and that's my wedding. I'm getting married in three weeks almost two.
The whole time we were going to our seats, I kept thinking that the song is gay. Ryan didn't want to do that and that's ok. He would've graduated with honors if he actually tried. I graduated with honors and that's something that I never thought I would do that either. I'm glad that I did though.
I'm glad that I have finally done what I wanted. Now the big day is coming up and that's the last thing that I want to do before I'm 20.
