Seeing as how my favourite game is Fallout 3, I'll make a quick little short story about living in vault 101. :3 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sometimes, you wish to see the outside world. Every now and again, I got a light whiff of the irradiated air from the vents. It wasn't much, but it makes me crave the life of a wastelander. I was born in that vault, and it was there that I will die- or so I'm told by the overseer. Everyone thinks that they will stay in that vault forever. Not me. I lived in that hellhole long enough. It started back when I had my tenth birthday party. I got my coming of age present, the Pip-Boy 3000. It stored information on it such as the date, the time, and different radio stations. Of course, I could only tune into the vault's PA system. Which I did not. I hear enough crap blabber from the overseer himself, I didn't want to hear more while I was sleeping. But on with the story. I had also received a sweet role from this nice old grandmother. Of course, the bully... Butch I think his name was? Yes, he tried to steal my sweet roll. The little b*****d tried to get into a fist fight with me, thinking that me, being a girl, would cry and run away. Not likely. I pummeled his sorry little a** to the ground, and he didn't bother me for quite some time. That's when I realized: I can't stay in here and pick fights with everyone in the vault. It'd get boring after a while. I knew then that I had to get out. Six years went by like it was nothing. I took the G.O.A.T test that year- the General Optimized Application Test, to see what job I'd best be fit for in the vault. Like my father, I was best fit to be in the infirmary. Hah. I had not enough pity for those lifeless fools to heal them. I wanted to be out there in the wasteland, fighting off everyone that came my way. And fortunately, that time came. One day, my father up and left the vault, forcing me to follow. I'd rather not go through the details of it, but let's just say that I was blind for about ten minutes. It had always been so dark in the vaults. But now, I was seeing real sunlight! Real, somewhat fresh air! It was exhilarating. But once upon a time, I was a vault dweller. I had no clue how to deal with the outside world. Everything was so cushy and protected within the chrome safety of the vault. Not any more. Not ever again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ......... Ok. That sucked.
