Faces
Yesterday we got the angelic manner and demonic style items along with tons of new mood bubbles, and a cute little guy who doesn't like to be held. The faces are hilarious and cute and just plain awesome. :}
Just when I thought I could possibly say no to questing those items, I found out that I must have them. o 3o They sneaked a wink pose into each of the angelic manner and demonic style items. Finally a wink that layers over other contacts. I've been dreaming about this item for a long time! Okay, so I've wanted to be able to wink for a long time, I've only dreamed about an item like this since the nestegg showed that it is possible.
So yeah.. a wink. * w* &3
Summer~
The summer event started today. You can prank people from other camps and your own to earn experience. After earning a large amount of experience, a camp counselor challenges you to a battle.
I keep trying to tell myself that it's just like pokemon, but it isn't. D; The fights go on in real time... We've had other events where we could attack another player more than once, but i usually ran away and attacked someone else to be fair. I don't like having to attack someone over and over. ; .; It's just mean. And it's scary because I swear the people I fight can do more damage to me than I can do to them. XD; <= I wrote that when I was level one. I found out that as you gained levels and abilities, the fights with the counselors weren't as hard. It just takes a long time, I mean... earning 180 XP when you can earn one or two XP every ten seconds or more takes forever. o -o; ...Especially when the other person leaves because they got challenged by a counselor.
You have to invest a lot of time into the event before you can reap some items out of it. I like instant gratification... or at least earning my item when I raise a level. Having to raise six levels without getting any items is just killing me. D;
And the camp bosses are mean. They keep slowing my attack rate and dropping my attack stat and healing themselves... They're smart. XD; Too smart.
It's a rather fun event. :3 I just wish I had more time to spend on it having fun instead of thinking about how I'll never have the time to earn free items. The big list of items is already up and I can't wait until I own them for myself so I can play with them. Oh well, it's only day 1.
The campfire secret stage item is cute. <3 I'm glad that we just have to walk up and click the fire to obtain it. Maybe we got our badges in knowing how to tend to a fire without melting our hands away~
End of Day One Edit:
I'm in science camp and have gained all of the items that I'm able to. When i was level five and near the end of my XP points, I challenged a rich camper. I was confused when I earned the raining money item instead of my beaker and tongs. Guides hadn't written up good warning explanations about that yet. D< I maxed out my stats and the final four (eight) camp counselors weren't too hard to beat. That means I just have to wait till the end of the event and buy the three items I couldn't earn. I would keep playing, but I spent too many hours playing the event today. I think I spent about four hours. Yikes. I knew it felt like a long time... I should have watched the clock.
MCs
I won't have the quote exact, but this month's MC hint says we'll be getting counterparts to legendary items of the past. They aren't even specifying that these'll be counterparts to MCs. There are fun item guesses floating all over the GCD. I don't want to get my hopes up too much... but I really am curious about this month's MCs.
Carl anndddd~
We'll also get two new stores. =D Jeesh, Gaia has really been busy bringing us all of these updates. We'll get Carl the Elk who sells yard sale type items... I'm not sure if I remembered that correctly. Annnd the other shop will be run my an old familiar face who doesn't have a shop of their own yet. According to another hint, neither of the two new shops will be run by humans.
I mostly want to know what kind of stuff the shops will sell since we already have a lot of shops right now. @ .@
Not much else to ramble on about~ yet. In other news, I sat down for a couple hours yesterday and can now play Hallelujah on acoustic guitar. It's sort of the Jeff Buckley style and it's definitely the easy way with the capo on the 5th fret, but it sounds good all the same. B] XD I can sing it while I play, too, but I don't know the whole song past the second verse yet.

Most of the journals will log the big updates and feelings of the times. I plan to look back on these in the future. Some large change affecting our lives now usually often turns into something we rarely think about.
