Finders Keepers
"Caracinia, Moonlight, Livana, Symarea, Eve, and Lilith. All these names I have gone by...and still not one seems to suit this inner me. Goddess I am, who are you..?" Caracinia sighed. She had given herself time to think, too much apparently, and now it has turned on her. "Time.." she thought aloud. Her eyes gazed over to Shense, her now playmate. She watch closely and carefully as he weaved through each of her optical illusions. "Brave man..." She commented as her finger tips encircled the image she watched in the water. "Though, his patience seems to be wearing thin.." Caracinia giggled. "Just one more my friend...Just one more."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shense dodged the seemingly real monster as it charged towards him. He smirked. "Such a beautiful creature..." he joked.
A light shone.
He blinked.
A woman now stood before him. Her hair shone of moonlight, though her eyes were as bright as the sun. She smiled.
Shense blushed, taking a step back at the sight of the suddenly appearing woman. "Understatement..."
The bright and shining woman giggled. "Just one more my friend...Just one more." She chanted as her body, as if made of pure water, evaporated.
"Would you please make up your mind which is the last one?" Shense grumbled.
"Last one of what?"
Shense spun around. "Garrison. What are you doing here? I thought you were looking after my friend."
"He crashed yesterday...You've been standing in this alley for 24 hours...I couldn't get you to talk or anything." Garrison explained, furrowing his brow in concentration. "And.." He continued. "I could hardly see you..It was as if you were a ghost."
Shense stared at Garrison for a moment of what seemed like two hours. "Wait..What?" he asked with a very confused expression. His plam hit his face. "I am tired of these illusions! Where is she?!"
"Did you try opening the locked?" Garrison asked as he examined the still shining silver locket.
"It told me not to..." Shense replied, biting his lower lip.
"Then I will open it." Garrison said, taking the locket from Shense's palm.
"No! Wai--"
Garrison had already opened the locket before Shense could stop him.
"Huh.." Garrison shruged. "Nothing--Woah!" He shouted, shocked as he jumped a few feet back from the locket.
Caracinia coughed. "Did..Did you have to open it?!" She was drenched. The water from her secret hide away had sucked her back into the human world.
"That's where you've been?!" Shense shouted angrily. "I have looked everywhere! Why didn't you tell me to open it Symarea?!"
"And ruin...my...fun.." Caracinia's, or rather, Symarea's, eyes widen. Her chocolate brown eyes faded to gray as she stared at Shense. Her faced paled as she closed her eyes quickly. "Y-y-you know my name..."
Shense looked down at Symarea. "So I was right..." He grabbed her arm and pulled her to her feet.
"Let me go.." Symarea, though unable to see, turned her face away from his.
Shense gripped hold of her arm. "Gatekeeper Goddess Symarea. You sing to the moon...That is all I seem to remember of you. You are not leaving until I learn the rest. This has already aggrivated me enough." He growled, keeping his grip tightly on her arm.
"If you know that much, you should know you cannot keep hold of me." Symarea spoke calmly.
"Oh but I can." Shense smirked. "Don't underestimate me, Goddess."
"Don't overestimate yourself, Emperor." Symarea retorted.
Garrison snickered.
Shense glared at him then fixed his gaze upon Symarea again. "You are coming with me."
"Am not."
"You are."
"I am not."
"Yes, you are."
"I most certainly am not."
Shense's green eyes set a glow and locked into Symarea's gray ones. "You. Are. Coming. With. Me." He growled darkly.
Symarea stood still. She had lost her voice in those emerald eyes of his...again. Reaching up slowly, she gently brushed his silken hair from his eyes. "There...Now that gaze will work better..."
Shense's face flushed deep red. He shyed away, still having a decent grip on her arm. "Y-you a-always do that..." he stuttered.
Symarea smiled. "And you always blush." she giggled. "Alright. I will come with you."
Shense sighed then smiled. "Good.."
"Ahem." Garrison cleared his throat.
Shense and Symarea blushed.
"Erm..You are hurting my arm Shense.." Symarea spoke thorugh the brief quite moment.
"Oh, sorry." Shense released her arm then rubbed the back of his head, turning his face away from hers as she did to his.
Garrison stiffled a laugh. "Shall we be off then?"
Shense nodded. "Yes.." Then led the way back into town.
Symarea and Garrison locked eyes for a moment. She put her finger to her lips. He nodded in response.
"So...She is still alive..."
