CH.3
Taiko ate his ramen with Kokeshi, who was like his brother. Both Taiko and Kokeshi were in love with Shamisen; what else could you expect from freindly relationships of the opposite sex? They were both suspicious of eachother, but where only half surtain entill it all came out.
Taiko swirled his noodles, legs dangling off the porch.
"Don't play with your food, Taiko..."
Taiko nudged Kokeshi in his side, makeing him jump.
"Damn it! I almost spilled it on me; cut it out!"
Taiko, being not as much a newbling, ignored Kokeshi, nudgeing him entill the inevitable happened.
Taiko, Kokeshi, and Shamisen had lived togther since childhoo; they were both abandoned at the same temple, of cource Taiko a year before Kokeshi and Shamisen during the time between. Being from the same temple, they bonded like brothers and sister. From a young age they showed distinct traits of ninja: stealth, agility, and inteligence. The preist, wanting to get Taiko out of his hair, but not wanting to seperate him from Kokeshi or Shamisen, and seeing their talents, sent them off to a ninja academy on Kokeshi's fourteenth birthday as he was the youngest.
Taiko was the smartest, although he was also the doutcheist; Kokeshi was stealthiest, although he was also the dullest; Shamisen was the fastest, although she was also the loudest and clumbsiest. Taiko, as ironic as it was, was the most careing and protective, especialy of Shamisen.
Taiko had the greatest grip on reality; he acted like an adult, this is probably why he acted like a child as newbling. Taiko did all of his "family buisness" behind the backs of Shamisen and Kokeshi. He aranged houseing for when tey graduated and, when nearing graduation, aranged placement in a ninja clan with their now presteigious portfolios. Taiko had almost aranged their entire adulthood, this why most likely why he never took anything seriously once they graduated, and that brings us to to now when Taiko and Kokeshi were playing tag in celebration and were perving for Shamisen.
That brings us to the point when I can start talking about when I came in.
