Hair: Tess has a layered pageboy haircut which is very short. Her hair is auburn colored and straight.

Skin: Caucasian and tan from being outdoors frequently.

Build: She is fairly muscular and not curvy.
Clothing: When not wearing armor or wearing armor over these clothes, Tess is dressed in a russet colored top over a pair of light brown leather pants tucked within a pair of mail boots. She also wears an old dark red cloak with a hood that’s not in the best condition seeing as she liked to throw it off dramatically when sparring. The worn-out brass clasp of the cloak is in the shape of a crescent moon with the two tips facing upwards.
Piercings/Tattoos/Birthmarks/Scars: She has several old scars on various parts of her body from sparring with her older brother at a young age.
Anything else?: A very unimportant, random fact- Apart from her callused palms, her skin is very smooth. Her family owns a successful company that manufactures potions, ethers, cologne, and medicine- It also happens to make very expensive lotion that her family gets monthly shipments of. To any creature locating her by scent, she has a faint scent of ginger about her.

History: Born in Sinfonia as Lady Rentesse Matoya, she was raised in an upper noble family with two parents who lived as though they were strangers because of their arranged marriage. They would greet one another in a formal, stiff manner and treat their children the same way.
She has an older brother (Currently 36 years old) who serves in the Sinforian Royal Guard. He taught her how to fight with a sword whenever he could and she would often watch as he practiced his own swordplay, much to her parents’ disapproval.
Being with him was a wonderful break from the pampered, coddled, strict, and constantly watched life of a noblewoman. Her brother instilled a deep sense of justice within her and served as her role model. Tess grew to love fighting and began to wonder whether she could drop her life as a noblewoman.
As she grew older and of marriageable age, she became a source of gossip for Sinforian upper-class when she declared that any man who could not defeat her in a fair fight had no right in seeking her hand in marriage. Many came and went, but she defeated all of them in battle, never going so far as to take their lives. She considered joining the Sinforian Royal Guard like her brother, but they refused women.
Deciding that she was nothing more than a doll if she continued to live the way she did, Tess cut her hair, shed her noble title, and left with only a small sack of gil, modest traveling clothes, and the sword on her back, leaving a good-bye note addressed only to her brother.

… An attractive person of the opposite gender tried to hit on them?: She would sternly tell him she did not have an interest in romance. If he persisted, she would tell him that she was strictly a lesbian.
… Someone of the same gender tried to hit on them?: Tess would tell her she wasn’t interested, and if the person didn’t give up, she’d tell the woman that she was firmly straight.
… A filthy street urchin kicks them in the shin and runs away with their wallet?: Tess would run after the kid. If she caught the child, she would calmly demand her wallet be returned while her sword is out to imply that she won’t hesitate to hurt the kid. If the wallet is returned, she would give the child half of her money while admonishing the kid not to steal and if he/she refused to return the wallet, she would take it back by force while trying to hurt the child as little as possible.
… They returned home only to find their village burnt to the ground?: Tess would be shocked, but otherwise fine. She has no emotional connection to her distant parents or any of the people in that town. She has no friends from there. However, she would try to find out who destroyed her village in order to stop them from wrecking other innocent villages.
… They were held hostage by desperate rebels that could be sympathized with?: Depending on their cause and whether the force the rebels were going up against really were wronging them, she would either join the rebels or at least co-operate with them peacefully. If they planned on harming her, she wouldn't hesitate to defend herself.
… Found an abandoned, starving puppy by the roadside?: She would feed it and keep it with her until she found a good owner for it.
… A cat walked up to them on two legs and started chatting pleasantly about the weather?: Her hand would go to the hilt of her sword in alarm. She would assess whether she was suffering from heatstroke or some sort of head wound. Cautiously but politely, she would ask the cat whether it was a creature of magic or an Eidolon.
