I felt it was important that you read Ender Honshim's journal before I post the rest of "Destiny?"
After reading that interesting bit of history, we heard somebody knocking on the door. I quickly pocketed the book, and ducked down behind the desk to let Kirvan deal with the visitor. "Greetings, comrade, I seem to have left my cat in this room. May I please have her back?" a familiar voice said. I took a quick peek, and saw it was Shapur.
"I'm sorry, sir, we saw Lord Grazel carrying your cat when he asked us to clean the office," Kirvan lied. "Very well," Shapur responded with disappointment, "by the way, there are reports that an intruder was infiltrated the fortress. Stay on your guard."
"Yes sir," Kirvan saluted, and Shapur left without any further questioning. The door closed, and I got out from behind the desk. "Have we been found out?" I asked Kirvan in a panicky tone. "No, I don't think so," Kirvan said, "he probably would've killed us if he knew."
"What do you mean, 'killed US'? You think he could take the both of us at the same time?" I asked him, seeming rather insulted. "Look, all I know is that you're stronger than me, and the Black Knight defeated you, so I don't think we'd stand much chance," he responded.
"Alright, I get your point," I said, disgruntled. "Look, I found what we were looking for, so let's get out of here!" I said, seeming to forget that we were lost. We wandered through the hallways, trying to retrace our steps, but then we heard a ruckus in the distance. We walked towards it, and saw the gigantic Loyem fighting of a horde of Magi soldiers with a huge spear. It looked like something Caesar's Dragon Knight would wield, yet he was swinging it about with ease. He was shouting, demanding the presence of the Black Knight. Eventually, Shapur showed.
"You called?" Shapur said teasingly. Loyem stopped swingin his spear about, and slowly walked towards Shapur. "Hello, my name is Loyem Linkova," he began, "You killed my mother. Prepare to die!" and with that he thrust forward his spear with such might, it left a crater in the wall as Shapur gracefully dodged it. Loyem, unable to contain his rage, continued to swing his spear about. Shapur side-stepped each swing carefully, but Loyem had more energy, and eventually Shapur's fatigue started to show. At that point, Loyem smacked Shapur in the back of the head with the blunt of his spear, and knocked him into the wall. Shapur arose to find one of his antlers cracked and bleeding. Infuriated, he pulled out his Knight's Ark.
"Verto!"
He stood up, the Black Knight once again. I wanted to join Loyem in his fight, and get my chance at a rematch, but I know it wouldn't make a difference. I'd just get in Loyem's way. Loyem charged the Black Knight, and pushed his spear sideways into the Black Knight's shins, knocking him over. Before he could follow up, however, the Black Knight kicked Loyem back with such force, it knocked the wall of the fortress down. Through the hole, I could see the beach, where we anchored our boat. "Hey, this is our chance!" I nudged Kirvan. He seemed a bit unsure of what I was planning. "We'll grab Loyem and run to the beach, I whispered to Kirvan. He through about it for a little while, whilst Loyem continued fighting with the Black Knight. After a brief moment, he nodded in agreement.
"Ready? 1, 2, 3... Go!"
Kirvan and I ran as fast as we could towards Loyem. Meanwhile, Loyem was tired and left his guard open, and the Black Knight was preparing for a finishing blow. The Black Knight thrust, but me and Kirvan grabbed Loyem by the arms and ran through the hole in the wall.
And we ran. We ran so far away...
We couldn't get away.
We ran as fast and as far as we could, but the Black Knight was faster. It also had wings, so that probably didn't help our situation any. He landed right in front of us, standing directly between us and our boat. At this time, Loyem decided to push us off of him, so he could continue his fight, but since this time there wasn't much choice, I joined the fight as well. Kirva and I drew our weapons, and discarded our helmets so that we could see.
"Kirvan? Kiera?? What are you two doing here?" Loyem said, extraordinarily confused. "Well, we WERE undercover," I informed him, "but then we saw a brother in need, and decided we'd rescue you."
"Good job," he said mockingly. "Oh shut up," I said, nudging him forward, and then I climbed onto his back and jumped off toward the Black Knight so as to strike him in the head. The Black Knight simply swatted me away as if I were a fly. It hurt a lot. Loyem and Kirvan then proceeded to charge the Black Knight. Kirvan went high, while Loyem went low. The Black Knight retaliated with two powerful slashes at both of them. Kirvan jumped out of the way just in time, but Loyem barely dodged it, and it left a gash on his shoulder. I got back up, and drove my axe into the Black Knight's calve. He dropped down to one knee, but then he used his weakened leg to do a sweeping kick that threw me over his shoulder, at which point he caught me in his hand. He held me close to his face and he demanded from me "Give me my cat!"
"I don't have your cat, and ******** you anyway!" I shouted back at him.
In his anger, he squeezed me with all his might. I could feel my bones crushing under the pressure. The pain was unbearable. Then, the Black Knight threw me a great distance. When I crashed against the ground, I heard a loud snap, and the pain was gone.
Yet, I couldn't move either. All I could do was watch al Loyem and Kirvan barely held off the enraged Black Knight. I feel so...
helpless...
Suddenly, I find myself in a dark place. I can move again, but I don't understand why. I hear movement from behind, so I turn around to see some sort of apparition before me. It's a floating pink woman shape, with long glowing blue hair, and piercing bright red eyes. She has sharp claws, and she tries to attack me with them. I jump back and reach for my axe, but it's not there. In fact, none of my equipment is with me. I was literally completely naked, and being attacked by a ghost.
She dived towards me, but I rolled out of the way, and quickly jumped onto her back and started punching her in the head. Then, her hair wrapped around me, and threw me off. She then turned around and waggled her finger in a "no no" gesture. Following that, she took a fighting stance, and waited.
After pondering on it, I realized she wanted to fight me. So I took a fighting stance as well, not really sure on how thing were going to turn out. I'm not really much of a fist fighter, and without my armor, I wasn't really sure how long I could last.
Nevertheless, I rushed her and went in with a flurry of punches. I must've hit her with at least half of them, then she countered with a few swipes from her claws. I dodged all but one, which hit me in my side, and left me bleeding. I followed with a powerful kick to her belly, which sent her back a bit, but she used the momentum to do a front-flipping overhead kick right in my head. It knocked me down, but then I jumped forward, headbutting her in the chest.
Then we grappled together, and got into a headbutting contest. She kept matching me blow for blow, and eventually she knocked me back with a powerful headbutt I couldn't match. I was dazed for a brief moment, but I got my composure back, and I punched her in the face. She retaliated by clawing me across the face. Then I punched her in the face again, and followed by grabbing her by the should and punching her in the stomach four times.
Then she tapped me on the shoulder, the universal signal for surrender, so Ilet her go. She then touched my cheek lightly and whispered in my ear.
"I've decided," she said to me.
I found myself back at Redhorne Isle, still unable to move on the ground. Loyem lie unconscious at the Black Knight's feet, while the Black Knight held Kirvan, screaming in pain, in his deadly grip. Words rushed through my head, as I tried to make sense of them. Suddenly, it came to me, almost automatic.
"O Siitah, Matron of the Cold Sun, Swallower of Shadows, Grant me your power... Verto!"
I could stand once more, with the incredible power of an Incorruptus flowing throughout me. I then ran to the Black Knight as fast as I could, and smacked him in the face with my new hammer, causing the Black Knight to drop Kirvan and jump back. "What?!" he exclaimed in shock and awe of the sudden appearance of Siitah.
I proceeded to smack him about, and knocked him into the air. He followed with a back flip, then he jetted towards me, and tackled me to the ground. He began slashing at me repeatedly, but the blows felt surprisingly light. Siitah's armor must indeed be quite powerful. I punched him in the face, and used the grip of my hammer to vault him off of me. He tried to come back at me with a quick return, so I then hit him with all my might with a blow to the chest. The blow knocked him rolling backwards into the ground, and I assumed him defeated, so I went and picked up Loyem and Kirvan, and made my way to the beach.
Just then, the Black Knight flew up behind me, and with his last bit of strength, stabbed me in the back. With that, we both reverted from our Knight forms. Shapur and I both lie on the ground, completely out of energy. Kirvan stood back up, fatigued, but all right, and he dragged me and Loyem back to the sail-boat.
He opened the sails, and we departed, safe for now.
That's not all of it, yet. Stay hyped for Chapter 4: Conflict.
