Stories by an imaginary girl
What does a girl that doesn't exist write about? Wouldn't your a** like to know? Probably yo mama
(WKC4) Conflict
By this point, things go a bit crazy, but I hope you enjoy nonetheless.

The three of us rested up on the boat ride back to Parma. Upon our arrival, we rented out some rooms at an inn, and thought about what had just transpired. Somehow, I've gained the power to become a Knight. For some reason, Siitah deemed me more worthy than any of my other tribe-mates.

I should be filled with joy. This is what I had hoped for since my journey began with Leonard, yet things didn't seem quite right. The journal indicated that strength was what attracted Siitah, so does that mean I'm the strongest? That can't be, I witnessed Loyem's strength myself. There's no way I could match him.

Could those ridiculous stories Estelle told me be true? Could this really be my destiny? No, I found Ender Honshim's journal. Everything it said contradicts what Estelle told me. Not to mention, I've seen Siitah now, and she's definitely an incorruptus, not a goddess.

I decided to get some sleep and ponder upon it another time.

The next day, I met Loyem and Kirvan at the bar in Parma. They seemed quite excited to speak with me. "Kiera, do you know what all of this means?" Loyem asked gleefully. "It means I don't have to kill Leonard?" I responded.

"Who?" he asked.

"Never you mind. Tell me, what does it mean?"

"We can fulfill the tribe's destiny! The Goddess Siitah has gifted you with the power to lead the world to a new era!" Loyem said with great enthusiasm. "The world will belong to us, Empress," Kirvan followed up.

"Guys," I sighed. I didn't want to crush their dreams, but world conquest seemed a bit extreme. "I don't know how to tell you this but, Siitah's not a goddess," I handed them Ender Honshim's journal.

The two of them read it over briefly. "I-I don't understand," Kirvan said. "Siitah's an Incorruptus," I informed them, "an ancient weapon used long ago, and there are five others just like her. Even if I wanted to, we couldn't conquer the world with her alone."

"What do you mean 'Even if I wanted to'?" Loyem responded with anger. "Are you saying you don't want to fulfill our ten thousand year old destiny?"

"More or less," I gave him a cold stare.

"You have a responsibility to your tribe!" he shouted. "What responsibility? I met you guys last week. I don't owe you anything," I retorted.

"What about everything we've been through?!" he was screaming now. I backed away from him slowly, a little afraid of what he might try to do. "Don't walk away from me," he said as he saw me approaching the door. "DON'T WALK AWAY FROM ME!!" he screamed as he charged forward and punched the doors off the bar, me barely jumping out of the way. He turned toward me, his eyes glowing with rage, "I won't let you abandon everything we've worked towards!" and with that, he slammed the ground, creating a shock-wave that knocked over myself and everyone else in the bar.

This left Loyem a bit winded, and seeing my opportunity, I quickly ran outside, and to the Balastor Plain where I made my way to Balandor. As I ran, I heard thundering footsteps behind as Loyem chased after me. He tackled me, and dragged my face against the ground. Then he lifted me up by the head, and punched me in the stomach with unbelievable might. It knocked me back quite a bit, and left me weak. I could see only one option for getting out of this, though I didn't like it.

"O Siitah, Matron of the Cold Sun, Swallower of Shadows, Grant me your power... Verto!"

I transformed into the hot pink Knight Siitah, and took my stance. "Stay back, Loyem! I'll beat you down if have to!" I warned Loyem, hoping he'd back down. He looked at me with disgust. "You dare use our Goddess' power to threaten me?" he barked. He charged forward and jumped onto me. I pried him off, and tossed him back, carefully trying not to hurt him. Then I felt Siitah's voice as my Knight converted into a ball of light, and I floated away, escaping from Loyem's wrath.

I feel bad for him, but I cannot abide his will. It's too much...

The light moved me to the town square of Balandor, where I reverted back to human form. I decided it would probably be better for me if I try to lay low in Balandor for the time being, since both the Magi and Loyem were after me.

That light was incredible, but I had no control over it. I checked my pocket for Ender Honshim's journal, but it seemed that in my haste to escape from Loyem's wrath, I accidentally left it back in Parma. I guess the only other way to learn about my Knight's power would be to discuss it with another pactmaker, so I'm going to go visit Leonard in the Castle, if only because Caesar's a longer walk away.

I went to the Castle entrance, but they wouldn't let me in. They said only knights and nobility were allowed in the castle. I told them, "but I helped save the Princess," but they didn't believe me. Just great, Leonard and Eldore get Knighted, and all I got was this crappy T-shirt.

Did I forget to mention earlier that Leonard and Eldore got knighted after we saved the Princess? That's what happened.

So, I made up a papitaur disguise, and hid out in the city to ponder on what my next move should be.

I decided to take a stroll through the city, avoiding the major roads, so as not to run into Loyem. As I walked, I felt a hand grab my shoulder from behind. I grabbed it and twisted it as I turned around, and saw it was Kirvan once again. "Empress Kiera, please, mercy!" he shouted in pain. I let go of his hand. "I don't know who you're talking about, leave me alone," I said, and began to walk away. "Wait!" he said as he ran after me.

"Kiera, please, I must speak with you," he pleaded as he walked beside me. I sighed, "How did you find me?" He regained his composure, "I am an expert in tracking, ma'am," he informed me.

"Did you bring Loyem with you?" I questioned somewhat nervously. "No," he responded, "Loyem does not know I am in town."

"Then what do you want?"

"Firstly, I came to return this book to you," he handed me Ender Honshim's journal. "and secondly, I came to tell you something of great importance. Something I swore never to tell you until you awoke as the Empress," he said, his tone getting more serious.

"When you were born, the Honshim tribe was not wiped out."

"What??" I said, not fully believing him.

"The villa in the Lagnish desert, the one which I was raised in, and you were born in, it was not where the majority of our tribe resided. It was a small offshoot of our tribe, sent to investigate the strength of this country and its people. The bulk of our tribe resides in a series of islands east of the desert."

"Okay but, why are you telling me this? What difference does it make now?" I asked Kirvan.

"Because, I believe Loyem intends to return to the islands, and tell them of your betrayal to their cause."

"So, you're saying there's going to be a hit on my head?" I asked.

"Not only that, but I believe Loyem intends to bring the full force of the Honshim army down upon Balandor."

"Army? How many are we talking about?"

"The Honshim army consists of no less than twenty thousand extremely skilled and extremely powerful warriors, my lady. They will attack with no warning, and no mercy."

"Holy figN0rZ," I gasped in shock. "Well, why are you betraying your tribe to tell me this? Don't you know how little chance I stand to stop this?" I told him.

"My loyalty lies not with the tribe, but with the Empress Siitah. I will gladly die in service to you, Empress."

This is going to be a full scale war. I absolutely have to get into the castle to warn Cisna and the others.

I lead Kirvan by the hand toward the castle, as he kept an eye out for Loyem. So far, he had yet to spot him. Once we got there, I begged and pleaded with the Knight captain to let us in, but he would hear none of it. "Excuse me, good Sir Knight," a familiar voice said from behind.

"Oh, Sir Eldore!" The Knight Captain said with glee. Indeed, it was Eldore who approached. "This girl traveled with us on our journey to save the Princess. I assure you, she's trustworthy," Eldore told the Knight. "O-of course, Sir Eldore," the Knight Captain stammered before finally opening the gate for us.

Kirvan and I quickly followed Eldore into the castle. "Eldore, we have urgent news we must deliver to the Princess," I spouted out as we walked. "I'm afraid it will have to wait. The Magi's forces are growing evermore. We're about to have a strategy meeting."

"But Eldore-!"

"It can wait!" he said, raising his tone firmly, and continuing to walk away. In my desperation, I did the only thing I could think of. I took Ender Honshim's journal out of my pocket, and threw it at Eldore, hitting him in the back of the head. He turned around, about to strike me in anger, but then the book caught his eye. He picked up the ancient book, and skimmed over its contents.

"What are you trying to tell me with this?" he asked with curiosity. "Eldore, I've become a pactmaker," I told him earnestly. His eyes widened. "but, that's not what I came to talk about."

Kirvan briefly explained to Eldore about Loyem, and the threat of the Honshim army's arrival. Upon hearing this, Eldore immediately brought us to the war room, and allowed us to explain in more detail before Cisna and the War Council.

After a brief discussion, the War Council came to a decision.

"It is unlikely that this 'Loyem' has passed through the Lagnish Desert yet. Kiera, you and Kirvan are to take the Shahgna over to the Lagnish Desert and intercept him. If what you say is true, we cannot allow him to deliver his message."

"Please, Sir, let me accompany them," Eldore pleaded.

"No, your skills are required elsewhere. Besides, if this girl is truly a pactmaker as she claims, stopping one man should be no effort at all."

Eldore begrudgingly backed down.

Eldore walked with us as we boarded the Shahgna in preparation to depart. "Stay alive, you hear," he said to me, "We still need you to rewrite the chronicling of our adventure!"

I smiled as we both waved goodbye. The Shahgna then took off. I really hope everything works out.

There was a tension in the air as me and Kirvan rode the Shahgna to our inevitable confrontation with Loyem. I took deep breaths and tried to steady my knees as best I could. Even with Kirvan's help, I didn't want to face against Loyem's monstrous strength again, but it seems I don't have a choice.

As we flew over the Lagnish Desert, Kirvan spotted Loyem in the distance. He pointed him out to the pilot, and then the pilot landed us before him. Once we stepped off the Shahgna, it immediately departed, leaving us behind.

Loyem drew his gigantic spear. "So, the traitors finally show their faces," he said with an evil glare. "We're not gonna let you deliver your message to the tribe, Loyem!" I told him as Kirvan and I drew our weapons. "Deliver my message?" he said with a chuckle.

Loyem then whistled, and a bigelow came down and landed on his shoulder. "I'm afraid you're far too late to stop me from delivering a message. By now, the ships have already set sail, and the army's on its way to take over."

I couldn't believe it, we had failed before we even began. "But hey, what's say we settle our unfinished business?" Loyem suggested as he took his battle stance. "Kirvan, you go left, I'll go right, got it?" I whispered over to Kirvan. He nodded in understanding.

"3, 2, 1... now!"

We charged at Loyem from both sides, ready to strike. "Too easy!" Loyem shouted as he swatted me away with his spear, and backward kicked Kirvan in the stomach. Kirvan dropped to is knees before the towering Loyem. "Traitors deserve no mercy," Loyem said before grabbing him by the neck, and crushing it with one hand, ending Kirvan in an instant.

Loyem then turned towards me. "You don't deserve the gift of our Goddess' power," he scoffed at me. I knew that without Kirvan's help, I wouldn't stand a chance against Loyem, so I decided it best to transform.

"O Siitah, Matron of the Cold Sun, Swallower of Shadows, Grant me your power..."

Loyem rushed forward. "NO YOU DON'T!!" he shouted.

"Ver--" but then Loyem's giant spear impaled me through the stomach before I could finish the chat.

"V-v-verrrr..." I couldn't get out the word. So much blood spilled out from my gut.

"I think the word you're looking for is..." Loyem smirked, "Verto!"

Suddenly, I felt my energy sapping out from my body, as Loyem began to glow, and finally, he transformed into Siitah. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I wanted to scream out, but I was too weak. Siitah raised her giant hammer, getting ready to smash me like a bug, when suddenly a man's distorted voice interjected. "Stop!" a man in blue armor said as he jumped in front of me.

"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" the man said, pulling out a glowing green gem. He held it close to his chest, and shouted "Verto!" Siitah looked on intently, but instead of transforming, the man quickly pulled a dagger from behind and threw it at Siitah's face. She jumped back, disoriented, and the man in blue armor used this opportunity to grab me and make our escape.

I passed out in his arms from the blood loss.

I awoke in a small encampment in what appeared to be the Nordia Tunnels. I felt weak, and strained somewhat to stand. I looked about the room. There was a bed, which I was resting on, as well as some boxes and barrels, which I assumed there were supplies in. Across the room from the barrels was the mirror. I walked over to the mirror to see how badly I was hurt.

I yelped when I saw myself in the mirror. I looked almost completely different. My hair, once a lovely blue, was now a light brown. My eyes, previously a deep red were now light blue, and my once dark skin now as pale as a lily. Before I could try to figure all of it out, the man in blue armor from before approached from behind.

"What happened to me?" I asked desperately. He put his hands on my shoulders gently, then he said, "Calm down. You've suffered a terrible injury and need to rest. I'm here to help you, I promise." He lead me back to the bed and sat me down. "How's your wound?" he asked concernedly.

"Wound?" I looked down and saw my stomach was bandaged up entirely from the stab wound I received at Loyem's hand. "Who are you?" I asked, ignoring my injury.

"Neither enemy or friend," he responded, "call me Deepthroat."

"What?!"

"No? Then how about Scardigne?" he said. "Okay then, Scardigne," I responded warrily, "what did you do to me?" He turned away and started digging through his boxes as he spoke to me with his distorted voice. "If you're referring to the strange changes in your body, I assure you I had nothing to do with them." I checked him out as he bent over digging through the box, and noticed he had a spectacular a**. Far too spectacular for a man.

"I read through the journal you had on you, and I believe I can explain what's happening here." he said as he pulled out Ender Honshim's journal from the box. "I'm listening," I said curiously. "Ender Honshim wrote that his children's skin, hair, and eyes changed color when he gave them the arks, and all of the following children had the same colored skin, hair and eyes," he explained as he sat beside me with the book. "I believe that the man you were fighting has taken your ark away from you, and this is causing your body to revert to its natural form."

"You're saying this is what I'm supposed to look like?" I asked. "Technically speaking, yes," he responded. "I'll kill Loyem for this," I grumbled. I then noticed my axe lying against the wall next to the bed. I tried to lift it up, but it was far too heavy.

"It seems your appearance wasn't the only side effect caused by the ark," Scardigne noted. "This isn't good. How can I fight Loyem if I can't even carry my weapon?"

"You can't," he told me. "Are you telling me to give up?"

"Hardly, just to seek an alternative. I can offer you one but..." he looked away, as if he were ashamed of what he was about to suggest. "Listen, the ark is within this 'Loyem's' blood. I've been granted the ability to... 'take in' the blood of others. I'd like to share this ability with you." he said somewhat reluctantly.

I backed away slowly. "What are you trying to tell me?" He held his hand out. "I'm telling you that I can get you your ark back, but you have to be willing to 'take it'"

"Take it..."

I walked over to him and gave him my hand. "Very well," I responded. Scardigne then pulled me in close and held me in his arms, as he arched my neck back. He then lifted up his helmet just enough to reveal his mouth. His lips were plump and soft, but his fangs were sharp. He sank his teeth into my neck and began to drink my blood.

He held onto me tight as I felt what little energy I had left start to slip away. I almost let my life slip away, but I persevered, determined to see my goals through. Finally, Scardigne let me go, and I fell to the ground. "I've made you a creature of the night. Reclaim your ark, and you may yet see the day again," he said as he placed a sword and some chainmail on the bed for me. "The Honshim march on Greydall Plain. Hurry, and you may save your friends."

"Wait," I said, my strength quickly reinvigorated. "Why do you hide your true identity from me?" I asked. He looked away shamefully. "I met a woman who used that same voice trick before," I informed him, "You are no man."

Scardigne stood there in silence, not responding. "Very well," I said, but promise me something."

She looked back up. "When I get my ark back, you gotta go on a date with me." I told him in a matter-of-fact way. She arched back in surprise. "Eh... yes, alright..."

"But don't wear that bulky armor, wear something cute, 'kay?"

It was a rainy night in the Greydall Plain. The downpour made it easier to move about unnoticed. My new abilities, granted to me by Scardigne, allowed me to move so much faster than I could before, which was quite helpful in scouting out the squads sent by the Honshim. There were four squads, each with around twelve men in them. They must be confident to attack Balandor with such small numbers, or maybe they really are just that strong. I followed them silently, keeping close watch for Loyem. He didn't appear to be with any of the squads.

Eventually, the squads met up at a bridge, where Loyem was waiting. He was heavily armored, and carrying a giant decorated spear. I was ready to pounce, but then, across the bridge, I saw a large number of Balandor soldiers approaching. They were all being lead by Eldore. "It looks like they've been expecting us," Loyem stated rather loudly.

"Are you Loyem?" Eldore shouted over. Loyem nodded. "Then, it is as I feared..."

Loyem and Eldore stared each other down, until Loyem ran out of patience, and finally ordered his soldiers to charge. The Honshim soldiers ripped apart Balandor's elites almost effortlessly, as Loyem fought directly with Eldore. Eldore tried to hold him off as best he could, but his magic was no match for Loyem's pure brutal strength. Loyem pushed Eldore over, and knocked him unconscious with the blunt of his spear. Loyem had a disappointed look in his face when Eldore wouldn't get back up. He growled in anger, "Can anyone provide me with a decent challenge?!" he shouted.

Loyem raised his spear to finish off Eldore, and in doing so, he left his guard wide open. I took this opportunity to rush in and gut Loyem across the arm, making him lose his composure and step back, as I took my stance between him and Eldore. "I might," I said in response to his taunt.

He looked a little confused at seeing me. "Little girls should stay off the battlefield," he said to me.

I glared at him. "Little boys shouldn't invoke my vengeance," I rebutted.

Loyem looked even more confused after I said that. "Is this old guy your dad or something?"

"Don't recognize me? I hardly could either after what you did to me. Tell me, did you give Kirvan a proper burial?" I said angrily.

He paused to think about it for a while. "...Kiera?" he asked.

"That's a bingo!" I shouted as I jumped high into the air, and landed on his back. I started cutting at the binding on his armor from there. He jumped and landed on his back to crush me and get me off. It worked, but I quickly circled around back to his front. "What the hell happened to you?" he asked with great confusion as he took a defensive stance. "It's not about me! It's about you, and how you're going to give me my power back!" I said rushing him with a flurry of sword slashes. He barely deflected them, and the ones he couldn't deflect, his impenetrable armor protected him from. "Like hell I will!" he shouted back. He then shoved me back, and thrust his mighty spear forward, but I jumped over, and landed on the tip of it. I proceeded to run along his spear, and run right past his head, swiping his helmet off with my sword as I passed by. This left his neck exposed and vulnerable.

"No, that's right," I thought to myself, "I have to 'take it',"

He swung his spear at me, and I jumped over it, landing on his shoulders. Then I sank my fangs into his neck, and drained his blood. He tried to grab me and throw me off, but he was quickly losing all of his strength. His skin was fading, his hair was turning blonde. It was an interesting sight to behold as I drank every last drop of blood from his body. Eventually, his body started to shrivel up, and I could no longer get any more blood out of him. I let him go, and he collapsed, dead and unrecognizable.

Then, I could see my skin was darkening back to its original color. I could feel Siitah's presence within me once again. I looked around, and saw that despite my victory against Loyem, the Balandor soldiers were still struggling to fight the Honshim.
Time to blow them all away.

"O Siitah, Matron of the Cold Sun, Swallower of Shadows, I'm taking your power... Verto!"

And that's all I wrote. That last update happened almost a year ago, and then I got hit with a crippling case of writers' block. If I ever do continue the story, I'll be continuing it here on Gaia, since WKC's language filter is ******** bullshit. If you care to see it continued, please leave a comment! smile
