Well...I've been trying for a donation letter at a certain 1k shop (there's a link in my signature if you're interested) and it seems that so many of the people there are what I have been calling elitists. They're the rich, snob-ish, rude, and arrogant people of Gaia with lots of gold and expensive items. They talk down to newbies, and Gaians of a lower...shall I say, social status? I won't say that all of them are this way. But all the ones that I've run into are. rolleyes Who cares what items you have, or how much gold you've got? I sure don't. Sure, there are tons of things that I still want but am never going to get. But feel accomplished in the fact that everything that I own on Gaia was obtained through hard work. And there's another topic right there. What is it with all the lazy n00bs? It's like they come on to Gaia and assume that you get whatever you want, pronto. That they can become their dream image by doing nothing.
Pfft. Just get to work, ya hobos!
Now, back to the upper class Gaians. I also dislike how they seem to "flock" together in a group in this forum. It's like a freakin' mini high school! They've already got the thread separated into cliques! neutral Now, you must understand, in this 1k thread you must prove yourself worthy of the item by sticking around, chatting, and being friendly or helpful. I got that. But why do these upper class men who are obviously loaded stick around here when they could just as easily go and buy their sought after item for regular price? I'll tell you.
They're against inflation.
Yeah? So am I. And everyone and their grandmother hates Gaia's inflation. But hey...why be against inflation when YOU'RE THE ONES WHO CONTRIBUTE TO IT!? Spending your real dollars to get donation items that you will keep until they can make you a decent profit of 10,000 or more? Getting huge donations from all your rich friends? It's sickening. They say they hate it, but if they had the chance I know they'd sell their things for top dollar. Or gold. Whatever.
Sorry for complaining. I just needed to vent. It's just that if they really wanted to do something useful with their money and time, donate to someone who really needs it. Like all those poor people questing a nitemare scarf.
