It's the last day of July ALREADY?! God how time flies. Far, far, FAR too fast for my liking. >.>
Listening to: Houki Hoshi - Younha
Understanding level: None whatsoever ;D
So, about the music. Recently, I've been scouring the internet for a good place to get anime music from. Thankfully, I've found one. Not-so-thankfully, they don't have the lyrics, leaving me with a bunch of music that I don't understand. But hey, the music's good, so t's cool.
Besides, I'm not ENTIRELY without a clue here. Happy People's half in English, and I've got the lyrics to Asterisk. Which just happens to be the next song that's playing... o.o
Listening to: Asterisk - Orange Range
Understanding level: Have the lyrics, don't use them
Well, I know what three lines of that song are and what they mean. Miageta yozora no hoshi tachi no hikari means 'Look up at the light of the stars in the night sky', according to the first opening for Bleach. Hikari-tsuzuke yo means 'Shine on' and Ano hoshi ta you ni means 'Like that star', again, according to the opening. I think that I know them only because they're the three most repeated lines in the entire song. ^^;
iTunes has this cool feature called Shuffle under the Controls menu. Works like a charm, I tell ya. Much better than listening to all 57 or so of my songs in the same order every day. Plus, I never know what's next. Such a wonderful little addition.
Now playing: Ticket to Ride - Beatles
iTunes has shuffle, but there's the iPod Shuffle for shuffling on the go. Man... I need an iPod... my dad got my mom a black Nano for Christmas this past year. I got to keep the little cardboard insert that was in the blue case. So funderful.
Now playing: Livin la Vida Loca - Kidz Bop
This is an interesting story. Kidz Bop used to be good. The first CD, anyway. The first was okay, the second was shaky, but the third... yehk. No. It was fine when they had kids doing the background and joining in for the chorus, but the entire song? No. Just... geh. Ten CD's too, last time I checked. Might be more, but I haven't seen a commercial for it recently, so I don't know.
Okay, okay. Enough of me ranting about iWare, music, and CD's. What was I going to say again...? >.> Hurm... oh yeah!
Now playing: Elanor Rigby - Beatles
(Sorry, couldn't help it.)
So. You all probably know that Bleach is now being dubbed. Anyone here seen it in Japanese? Notice Ichigo's absolutely WONDERFUL vocabulary? And the colorful animation? Gee... I wonder what's going to happen to it. Maybe they'll tone down the script a bit, as well as the red? Or maybe they'll take the Naruto approach, and ruin it. I'm not too worried about that. No, what I'm worried most about is the voices.
I went through Youtube to hear what they've done, though from the interviews that I've read, that probably wouldn't have prepared me all that much. Still, from what I found on Youtube, they found a good person for Orihime. I'm just worried about Ishida. Shino? No. Just... no. But... I guess it doesn't really matter what I say, now does it?
Now playing: Jiraya's Theme - Toshiro Masuda
Odd, isn't it? I talk about Asterisk, it starts playing. I'm about to switch gears to Naruto, and look what starts playing. Seriously, I don't plan this stuff. I blame it on Shuffle and Microsoft.
Anyway, about Naruto. I got Ninja Scroll not too long ago, and here's the first thing I'm gonna say: GET THE IMPORT! The English is just messed up. Seriously. Who says 'Darn it' when they die, anyway? Hopefully not Sasuke. Kakashi I don't have a problem with, but Naruto and Sasuke... ug. I guess maybe I've seen too many episodes in Japanese, but hey: I don't have to wait for CartoonNetwork to air it each week.
Anyway, the dialogue's useless. The only stuff of importance is obvious. A button is jump. B is attack. R throws your Shruiken, Senbon, or Kunai, whichever one you're currently holding. Hold down R to use the scroll jutsus that you find. Hold down B to use your character-specific moves, like Sasuke's Lion combo and Naruto's Nine Tales' Chakra.
Here's a few things about the game:
Beat Story Mode as either Naruto or Sasuke to unlock Visual Mode, where you can see an image of all of the people that you've talked to/fought with (Gaara doesn't count until you fight him.)
Beat Story Mode as both Naruto and Sasuke to unlock Kakashi.
Beat Story Mode as Kakashi to unlock sound mode, where you can hear all of the sound effects, voices, and background music from the game.
After beating Story Mode as any character (or all three), they can then go through the 'sunset/dusk/night' levels, and fight Temari and the puppet guy a second time insteaf od Haku and Zabuza, and fight Gaara insteaf of Orochimaru.
Now playing: H.T. - Trigun the First Donuts
(That's what it says in iTunes, and no, I didn't type it in)
SERIOUSLY. There's something with iTunes today. It's freaking me out. 0.o
So. Trigun. Awesome show, to say the least. And I do mean the least, since I've only seen a few episodes of it. ^^; Still. Vash is just HILLARIOUS sometimes. Even when he's serious, sometimes he'll slip up and do something silly.
What episode was the last one I saw? Let's see... it was the one where Vash meets Wolfwood for the first time. You know, the guy with that giant cross? Yeah. Him. I still like Vash better.
Not much else I can say about it, though. Haven't watched it in a week, so my memory's getting a bit sketchy. Remember a few select scenes with great detail, though. Like the one scene in the first episode. The best.
Now playing: I'm A Believer (Reprise) - Eddy Murphy
Anyway, switching back to Bleach. Know that game that's coming out October 12 in Japan for PS2? Ho MAN do I want to play that. Bleach: Blade Battlers is kind of an... odd... name for it, but GEEZ. Making me want a PlayStation more'n ever.
But... I've gotta go. Dinner's calling. And no, I'm not sorry for leaving you hanging. ;D
