Mithril
In the event of the mythrill armour coming out in the September 2006 donation letters, the forum Critical Error ~ The Final Solution thread began to dicuss "How do you spell mithril?" and "Was mithril ever under copyright laws?" ((View here: x -- start on the 10th post.)) I was curious about the actual answer myself and decided to take the matter into my own hands to answer these questions.

I did answer the question and felt very proud that I had researched something as useless as mithril. I'm posting here so that anyone who comes may know what mithril truely is. 3nodding

Here is what mithril is, if anybody cared. Mithril was created by J. R. R. Tolkien. and comes from two words in Sindarin — mith, meaning "grey", and ril meaning "glitter".

Mithril was never under copyright laws by the Tolkien Estate and has been used variously by others in various spellings including such titles as Dungeons & Dragons, Final Fantasy, Age of Mythology, King of Chaos, Everquest, Runescape, World of Warcraft, Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Cross, Tales of Symphonia, and many more.

My resource was Wikipedia. Here's the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mithril

Thusly, we can conclude that (1)mithril was never under copyright laws, and (2)mithril can have multiple spellings. (In my opinion, if you misspell mithril, that would change the meaning because the word is derived from two real words).
