Something I've wondered about: If a tree falls in a forest and nobody is there to hear it, does it still make a sound? I know that a lot of people ask that question, and I know a lot know the answer. In fact, I think that I know the answer too. My brother told me. Then again, he is my brother, so i'm not sure if this is right. He said that sound is merely vibrations picked up by the human ear. So if there is no ear to pick up the vibrations, there is no sound. But then again, the vibrations occur anyway, even if there is no ear, meaning that sound doesn't only occur when you hear it...right? I don't know. I just confused myself.
