Thought of the day: "Thank you H-berg!" -- me


I went to Barnes & Noble to hang out with H-berg, my friend who works at B&N. Earlier today, she had been talking about how this lady walked up to her and asked, "Where's the Harry Potter series?" So when I walked into the Kid's Section (where H-berg works), I walked up behind her and said, "Excuse me, I'm looking for the Harry Potter books." She turned around and started to answer my question, and then she realized it was me and laughed.

I stayed for a little bit, looking at all the weird books that they have out for children (which ranges from dinosaurs to puberty! =D) when H-berg told me that she was going to the back to drop something off. That's when J-man, a guy from school who also works at B&N, comes up to me, says hello, and then asks where H-berg is. I tell him, he sighs in frustration, and then sees H-berg. He tells her that the guy who was fired earlier today who was stalking and harrassing one of the clerks was just escorted out of the building by a police officer (I'm thinking that it was actually and Rent-A-Cop).

*cha-ching*

"So there's an open spot?" I ask. And instantly, J-man and H-berg want me to go upstairs and ask for an application. I go, fill out the applicatioin, return it, and the manager and I talk about having an interview tomorrow morning at ten.


I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED!! whee
Working at Barnes & Noble has been like one of those dream jobs for me. Surrounded by books all day listening to music. I understand that it's going to be a pain in the butt to hassle with all the whiney and butt-head customers, but ******** YEA! BARNES & NOBLE!!
