I am awoken, not by the smell of pine cones and holly berries, but by the dog (a 2 year old border collie named Bandit) jumping on me at 8 am. This wasn't much of a problem because that is my normal wake-up time, but it hurt!. Then my mom came in and told me that we had a few chores to take care of before we can unwrap the presents. So the Christmas festivities actually proceeded the sweeping of the floors, the washing of the dishes, and cleaning the kitchen. First was the unstocking of the stuffings, uh I mean, unstuffing of the stockings. I recieved a bottle of Godiva Coffee drink, some fancy chocolate bars, a few gift cards, a rather nice watch, and an orange (for all of you who are thinking "wha..an orange?" It's tradition.) Then we opened the presents. I got a nice pea coat, some boots, an airsoft machine gun, and some cooking supplies, which included a waffle iron. But the person who truely cleansweeped was my dad. He got a Cooldaddy deep fryer from and a nice wallet me, lots of comfortable shirts from mom and my sister, and golf shoes from my little brother. (Actually, dad bought these for himself and said that they were from my brother) We had our big Christmas meal with my grandmother, great aunt, and boyfriend as guests. It was a delicious meal, as always. Then we played our new video games for the rest of the afternoon. The best part was when my loving boyfriend tucked me into bed, kissed me on the forehead, and told me Merry Christmas.
