Name: Toki

Bio: One day, about fifteen years ago, an infant was left near a shrine dedicated to Summanus, the god of nocturnal thunder, on Holy Isle. Passing priests found her in a small basket, with only a blanket and a small scroll accompanying her. One man picked the scroll up, but when he went to untie the ribbon, a small girl, no older than four, appeared from no where and grabbed the scroll from his hands and dropped it back in the infant's basket, making it clear that no one else was allowed to touch the scroll. They decided to name this child 'Toki'.
Since then, Toki has grown into a cheerful teenager. She's talkative and loud, yet she knows when it's time to be quiet and repectful. She carries the scroll with her everywhere, and when she is questioned about it, she refers to it as 'The Text'. She is never seen without teh girl who took her scroll back on teh first day she came to Holy Isle, and they are viewed by people as best friends.

Name: Kaiyo
Age: Nineteen

Job: Guardian of the Keeper of the Text
Bio: Kaiyo's reason to live has always been to protect the Keeper of the Text. So, when it was decided that the the Keeper, who just happened to be an infant, was to be left at Holy Isle, Kaiyo went with her. Kaiyo has a great sense of duty, and therefore will not stray far from Toki, in the possibility that she may be needed.
She never knew her parents, and hardly remembers the ones who trained her before she came to Holy Isle. All she remembes is being with Toki and the other inhabitants, and, in her opinion, that's all she needs to know.

Toki stood and waved to Father George as he left her and Kaiyo's home after their lessons. After seeing him wave back, Toki closed the door and turned to Kaiyo, who was cooking their midday meal. She slumped into a chair and sighed, before leaning the chair back to balance it on two legs.
"I'm hungry," She declared as she teetered in her seat. Kaiyo turned to her blankly before she went back to cutting vegetables. "So, don't plan on having any leftovers." Toki continued, before giggling to herself. Kaiyo let out a small chuckle, just as she always did when Toki made a joke. It almost seemed like it was mandatory.

Kaiyo finished cutting teh vegetables and dumped them into the pot she had hanging over the fire. She then stirred the contents a few times before letting it simmer for a few minutes. She then ladled what seemed to be soup into two wooden bowls, grabbed two spoons, and handed a bowl and a spoon to Toki. Toki let the front legs of her chair hit the ground and took them gratefully with a huge smile. Kaiyo giggled inwardly.
Sometimes she's just too adorable, she thought, as she joined Toki at the table.

Bio: Melony isn't very friendly. She's a loner and likes to be like that.

Appearance: ((This was, ofcourse, before the bombing.))
Personal information: Rei has been in an orphanage since the beginning of her memories. She always stayed away from people, and they always stayed away from her. But throughout her younger years, one person, Keiji, broke through her little shell. And he has become her one and only true friend. So one night, a few months after her 14th birthday, her orphanage was bombed. She and Keiji had been in a room at the outer of the orphanage.When it exploded, in the center of the orphanage, the noise had caused Rei to turn her head just in time for small chunks of debris to lodge themselves in her eyes. She cried out in pain as her brother pulled her from the room. They made it outside safely before Keiji feell to the ground as the building collapsed. A window sill fell off of the collapsed house and landed on Keiji's leg with enough forve to break it. He cringed and removed the wood to see that his the bone, just below his knee, had broken and part was poking through the skin. Through lots of shouting, he had been able to call to Rei and with her holding him up, and him seeing for Rei, they were able to make it to the edge of the forest. Knowing that she had to splint his leg, she felt around for somethign long enough. Suddenly, her hand wrapped around a smooth stick of wood. She held it up and Keiji approved. She bound his leg to the staff-like object and stopped the bleeding. She then wrapped a long piece of fabric around her eyes to stop the bleeding. She and Keiji have been wandering the forest, very slowly, for months now.
Any other information: Rei has become a bit more vocal since the bombing since she now must rely on her voice and ears, rather than her eyes.

Staff
It was almost time for Loreli to go out for her noon time hunt, but for some reason, her walking stick was becoming quite a nuisance.
It was usually a dark, oak wood, crafted stick, intricately carved into swirling motions that surrounded the base and top of it. And there was a decent sized stone placed at the top, held into place and also surrounded by the swirling motions. The stone would usually be a pale, and bleak musty purple, but for the oddest reason, it was the brightest shade of red Loreli had ever seen! Not only that, but the swirling motions had been replaced with what seemed to be the figures of dark, and tethering wings.

Personal information: The bombing of his orphange left Keiji's left leg useless. His good friend Rei splinted it for him with what he has concluded is a staff. His leg has healed, but he doubts he could walk on it without the splint. He wanders the forest with Rei now.
Any other information: Keiji acts as Rei's eyes as she acts as his support.
