A brow quirked in both curiosity and suspicion at the other's words. 'Get some things'? What kind of things did he possibly have to run off and get this early in the morning? And what couldn't wait until later that day? Subaru frowned slightly, but nodded anyway. With a small shrug, he curled his legs toward his chest, still rather cold.
'Maybe I should just stop sleeping here,' he thought half-heartedly to himself, watching Yoji a moment.
"What kind of things?"
"Uhh... Well, you know, just stuff... nothing important..." Yoji shrugged it off and stood, acting as if it were nothing. But Subaru wasn't convinced, and it was evident by the lingering frown on his face. "Don't worry, I won't be long." He felt a hand ruffle his hair in a friendly, almost affectionate manner before leaving the room.
A sigh left the dark-haired male's lips as he carefully pushed himself to his feet. It wasn't that he didn't trust Yoji or anything, he was just too skeptical to actually believe that anything could come of this little triste other than pain. That's what everything else ended up in, why would this be any different.
Subaru left the bed quietly himself, picking up the clothing he normally left in there. He didn't relish wandering around the house with no shirt on, even if it was his own or early in the morning. He had to have a shirt or suffer not only the cold, but his own private discomfort. He slipped on the loose sweater over his draw-string pajama pants, everything in the same matching black as it always was, as if he were going to some funeral.
Sometimes he wondered if he wasn't.
It was a while before he actually left the room, though. For some reason, Subaru had been compelled to lie back down for several moments, gaining some kind of strange comfort from the smell that surronding most of the bed trappings. It had apparently become used to Yoji, just as he had. The whole house had become used to him. It was kind of disturbing...
But when Subaru did finally leave, he made his way down toward the kitchen for breakfast. His 'skipping meals' and 'losing wieght' had been brought to an abrupt end by Yoji, who had pointed out that he really didn't want to see Subaru get any thinner. So, for the moment, he was eating regularly, as if just the request from Yoji was enough to force him into the habit.
'I don't even know what's wrong with me anymore,' he thought with a sigh.
