Here's a poem I wrote.....yet againb, no clue where the inspiration came from!!!
To Give My Heart Away
I hold my heart
Here in my hands
Willingly, I gave it up
And I gave it to you
I knew that you’d take care of it
Oh, how wrong I was
You broke it right in front me
And didn’t stay to pick up the pieces
I gathered the pieces of my heart
And tried to put it back together
It just shattered in my hands
It seemed I couldn’t mend my broken heart
Then another came along
He picked up the pieces of my heart
And put them back together again
My broken heart was fixed
He took me in his arms
And embraced me in a hug
Then I knew it was safe
To give my heart to him
I knew he wouldn’t hurt me
Or shatter my heart like you did
I knew in that one embrace
That my heart was safe with him
