One of my variations of Dante (one of many :> wink has recently caught my attention a lot, I mean wow. I have lots of ideas flowing through my head but most of which are a past, so whenever I get around to posting them I'll put them down here. I will attempt to put them all in chronological order to!

The deep greens of the forest had begun to fade. The summer season was ending and the long harsh winter was preparing to set in. During this time the creatures where on edge, the competition to gather food to survive started to become intensely fierce. Almost all clearings in the forest stayed empty. This night however, a family of lycans chose a clearing to rest. The lycans of this forest were unique. Unique in that the forest was large enough to sustain three seperate packs. Every lycan would typically choose a mate from another pack. During the summer interaction was minimal between the three seperate families, each knew the dangers of intruding on anothers hunting area. During the winter, the three seperate packs would form one massive family and take refuge against the elements in a deep series of caves, mates were often chosen during this time and new pups would be born.
This pack was drawing late, pushing their luck of entering the caves in time. The snow would fall within a week and the nearest entrance to the caves was a few days run through the woods. The pack was running late for a reason. The clearing was silent, despite the large group of carnivores resting in it. All were watching two. The alpha male, currently the father of four pups, had deemed his eldest son ready to challenge his authority and the young Vyr had taken up his challenge. Intently the other three brothers watched the slimmer, faster Vyr get out-smarted and out-matched at every turn. The second oldest, Cay, the only one of the brothers who had a dark black fur instead of a light gray, watched in amusement and the other two, Dante and Bec, two twins who still in their pup years, watched uninterested.
Dante, in a fashion that had started to annoy the others spent the duration of the fight grooming himself, a habit that had at a young age, annoyed the females. He ended up being better groomed than they, and to his parents dismay had yet to start to befriend the young ones from the other packs. Bec did what twins did best, attempted to mess up Dante's cleaned fur with dirt and bits of dead grass and leaves. Bec and Dante couldn't be more different. Dante could not care less about becoming alpha while Bec dreamed of it. And again as the opposite of Dante, it seemed Bec's future mate had already been decided upon.
A loud bark snapped Dante and Bec out of their distractions and back to the fight. Vyr lay on his back, obviously defeated and exhausted. Standing near was thier father, the dissappointment evident in his voice.
"Vyr, if that is the best you have to offer, I fear one day you will lay on the ground feeling your life slip from you."
Vyr's toothed mouth opened to speak but he was cut off by Cay.
"Father, now that you're done embarassing the eldest, we should head to the caves."
The father nodded and almost in unison all of the lycan stood up and faced the direction they would be travelling.
"Bec! Dante!" Their fathers voice called out sternly to which they replied to by scrambling quickly to his side. "We now run faster than you have in your mock hunts. Should you fall behind, none will come get you."
Dante and Bec looked at each other grimly. Bec's voice was the one to break the silence.
"I bet I make it there first."
Dante's voice was quick as the pack started to dart off into the trees.
"I bet you forget to pace yourself and get left behind."
