Gah...I got myself all rattled without trying. There is a youtube video that has footage of the police action in Iraq. I should have read the description completely before watching, since it states that it's flagged as inappropriate because it contains video of allied soldiers being taken down, Americans especially. After about the second clip my stomach was flopping around like a beached fish. I know our soldiers are over there every day, and some of them die. But I don't need to see it. If I had the ability to, I would fight by their side, and take down one of those terrorists with my bare hands of I could.
I believe that the action taken on Iraq was necessary. Though, like a lot of people I wish none of our soldiers had to die for it. It's not possible, of course. The problem I have is that they are dying for a mostly ungrateful country. If we pulled out now, all the work that was done by the now deceased was for nothing. It would certainly make the Americans look afraid to get their hands dirty, too. Like cowards.
