Disappearing from your memory

I glance up, a frown upon my face as I look up into your eyes, those ones that once held love and meaning in them now were cold and confused. I shudder slightly, tears streaking a trail down my face as I hear those words, the ones I thought you would never say. ‘Who are you’ they ring in my sensitive ears, threatening to break me, my very existence that you had once held. You ask again, more anger than before as you await my answer in little to no patience. I turn my gaze away from you, the pain unbearable as it clenches, threatens to suffocate me in its clutch. ‘I am something but yet I am nothing’ I respond to your question. ‘Explain.’ You demand, as you glared at me with hate and despite. ‘I am a walking memory, nothing more, nothing less.’ I explained before looking up at you. ‘I am the one you had once cared for’ I smiled up at you, the tears still visible as I gently touched your face. ‘And I am only that now’ I say and give you a final kiss before disappearing completely out of sight and forever out of your life.
