Main Elemental Affiliation:

Nergal- Varies
Merihim- Poison
Mastema- Ice
Shalbriri- Time
Azazel- Omni
Cresil- None
Pyro- Fire
Verin- Fire

Weaponry: Type/Function

Nergal- None
Merihim- Morning Star Flail/ It holds no magical properties, but was forged using strong metals. Coupled with Merihim’s strength, it tears through an opponent’s flesh with ease. Can wreck armor with a couple of swings.
Mastema- Elementalist’s Bow/ Ability to fire arrows of any element; Mastema prefers her birth element over others. Ice arrows are abnormally strong, but other elements are weaker than average.
Shalbriri- Nightshade sword/ A lightweight sword with a poisoned edge. A knick from this will leave opponents with debilitating illness for an extended amount of time.
Azazel- None
Cresil- Broadsword/ It holds no elemental properties and is near unbreakable. Coupled with Cresil’s natural strength, enough force goes behind the swing to cleave an opponent cleanly in two (armorless) or cause devastating injury (w/ armor).
Pyro- Needle Hollows/ Long, thin needles used to hit pressure points. Results vary and are not limited to paralysis, illness, coma, pain, pleasure, and death. The hollows may be filled with poisons, serums, and antidotes.
Verin- Reaping Katana/ Passed down through the family along with Ornias’ Naginata. While the Naginata absorbs and expels the handler’s energy with explosive force, the Katana leaks some of the handler’s energy to drain the opponent’s. The energy is lost to both fighters.

Special Abilities: Top three listed with brief description

Nergal-
~Parasite- As a body snatcher, Nergal is able to leave whatever body he’s occupying and take over another. Depending on strength of will, he can stay anywhere between years to a few moments. He takes on control of any of the host’s abilities as well as physical and magical attributes. No one knows if the body he’s currently in is his original one or not. In addition, soulless beings are susceptible to complete takeover, becoming a shell Nergal can retreat to if one of his bodies is destroyed.
~Drain- With this ability, Nergal can drain someone completely of energy and use it as he sees fit.
~Mimic- The ability to shift his (or the body he’s currently in) genetic structure slightly to mimic an attack or body augment he wouldn’t normally have.

Merihim-
~Berserker- The standard and most powerful form a demon has. A transformation occurs where the skin grows thicker, claws grow longer and harden to the point where they tear throw anything like tin foil, senses are sharper, and abilities are stronger. In this form, usually the only way out is to be knocked unconscious. However, those who exercise great control may move in and out of it with ease. It’s hard to take a berserking demon down.
~Energy Manipulation- Ability to manipulate his own energy and use it as he sees fit.
~Poison Manipulation- Ability to manipulate any type of poison in any form. In addition, Merihim is immune to all poisonous attacks.

Mastema-
~Runekeeper- As a Runekeeper, Mastema may use her knowledge to create powerful spells and charms.
~Blood Manipulation- The ability to manipulate blood, be it inside or outside the body. She may also use her own blood to create disastrous results when coupled with runes.
~Ice Elementalist- Can control ice element with deadly precision.

Shalbriri-
~Sands of Time- The ability to control time.
~Rewind- A specific use of time on the body to reverse any damage taken. Used as a form of healing, but comes with the price of having a few days shaved off one’s lifespan.
~Illusionist- The ability to create and hold illusions for varying periods of time. Mainly used for defense. Shalbriri’s are rarely malicious, but are highly effective.

Azazel-
~Sins of Man- The conversion of all the sins of humanity to create never-ending energy for Azazel. Using this energy, he may form it in any way he chooses. Is the base for most of his attacks and defenses.
~Omnipotence- The ability to use any element, including Chaos.
~Ultimate Defense- Combining his aura with copious amounts of energy, Azazel can create a near impenetrable shield around him. Attacks on him can then be absorbed, repelled, or reformed. He rarely lets this down, even around his team.

Cresil-
~Berserker- Same description as Merihim’s.
~Recover- When stamina has begun to run out or if he’d simply sustained too many injuries, Cresil may convert some of his life energy to recover completely.
~Tank- The ability to augment one’s body in short bursts. Heightens strength, durability, reflex, and speed. Can’t be used too many times at once, lest the strain causes injury. This is a genetic feature, not magical.

Pyro-
~Puppetry- Using hypnosis to rewire a person completely for long periods of time. Requires the victim to be unconscious or asleep.
~Hypnotic Gaze- The ability to simply look at someone and hypnotize them in some way. Usually used to coerce another to fight for him or to ensure cooperation. Usually lasts until he leaves their vicinity.
~Fire Elementalist- The ability to control fire with deadly precision.

Verin-
~Berserker- Same description as Merihim’s.
~Fire Elementalist- The ability to control fire with deadly precision.
~Invisibility- This ability only means that unless he’s spotted by sight, he is unable to be tracked otherwise. His energy and aura holds a weakening agent to throw off a tracker’s senses.

Collective Immunity: All are immune to fire, having originated from the Fiery Plain.

Interesting Facts:

-Nergal enjoys listening to classical music when he relaxes; he also plays the Fiddle.
-Nergal was the demon who called the Armistice when the order was given. He also worked closely with the angels and even fell in love with one. The fact that this was forbidden, however, led him to keep his silence.
-Nergal, Merihim, Cresil, and Ornias have been best friends since their days at the barracks. All four act like teenage boys when they get together.
-Merihim has several illegitimate children and he finds time to visit them all. He’s a doting father and carries around professional sketches of them in a leather-bound wallet. He often gets teased by his besties when he whips the pictures out (which is often).
-Merihim is one of the few demons who doesn’t base his decision to mate on strength; instead he looks for feminine softness. His reasoning is that if he wanted to mate with a strong and aggressive being, he’d go for a male.
-When he was younger, a certain event involving his much older brother left Merihim twitchy around the scent of massage oil.
-Mastema’s facial scars were not from a battle, but from when Azazel threw a tantrum; though her horn was broken, Azazel threw her power and servitude back at her, saying she was too weak to keep.
-It’s rumored that Mastema is a total b***h because no one has ever loved her, including her own family; her family actually adores her, and she’s really quite the romantic, but refuses to show it and favors her aggressiveness. She doesn’t wish to be outclassed by the males in her group or treated like Shalbriri.
-Mastema’s family has a long-lasting rivalry with the Hellfire Demons. Their clan is usually in charge of hunting them when there’s a sighting.
-Shalbriri is the only blind Timekeeper; she navigates by sending out her energy, much like a bat using echolocation.
-Shalbriri had three siblings; all of which have died. She couldn’t save any of them, a fact that shaped her personality.
-Shalbriri once had a crush on Ornias, but never felt she was good enough for him. She stayed silent as he chased other females, though it hurt her. All possibility of ever finding a mate was crushed, however, when she met Azazel.
-Azazel adores snacks, but especially likes candied meat, suggesting that he has a sweet tooth.
-Azazel’s favorite physical game to play is a demon form of Red Rover.
-Azazel’s only embarrassing moment was when a prankster slipped a fast acting laxative in his food. You don’t want to know what happened to the kid who did it.
-Despite his size and burliness, Cresil enjoys homely activities such as sewing, knitting, cooking, and gardening. He’s always the one to see for rare and exotic plants of the highest quality. He supplies most of these to Vernin.
-Cresil is in love with Shalbriri, but is unable to truly express this with Azazel shadowing her.
- Cresil has a Hero Complex and would willingly sacrifice himself to save others. This trait conflicts with his missions, so at times, he’ll purposely mess up to give the target a chance to run.
-Pyro had actually considered taking Mastema as a mate at one point, despite him saying he’d never screw her. However, he believes pissing her off is way more fun than actually doing her.
-Pyro refuses to sleep around his teammates; he talks in his sleep, revealing embarrassing secrets about himself.
-Pyro had stabbed himself accidently with his needles during practices so many times he’s immune to their effects.
-Verin is loyal to his family, but absolutely despises Ornias. He thinks his brother is ungrateful for the “privileges” Pandora allows him, as well as a softening fool.
-Verin mistook Pyro for female the first time they met and proceeded to flirt with him a bit. He found out the true gender when Pyro successfully got him in bed. His team never lets him live it down.
-Despite being demons, Nergal and Mastema aren’t affected by the vegetation allergy and may even consume them.
