As always, all Tl;dr posts are reported and my reponses will be lagged. I try to answer you all in the order you responded, so please be patient. I'm only human after all.
Okay GD, seems you guys have been having a few touchy topics this week. The three I have in mind are "Moderators...", "Fat v. Skinny" and the "Most loved/hated Gaian/GDer." I say touchy because each GDer seems to have a quite the sharp tongue when it comes to these topics (whether the sharp tongue be in a good way, or a bad way).
First off, I would like to point out that the moderators are NOT responsible for each and every little mishap that happens here in the GD or the rest of the site for that matter. The moderator team is bogged down with several backlogged reports, and though a thread may take a while to get boxed it doesn't mean the mods aren't doing their jobs, in fact the fact that the moderators DO still move the threads shows they are still aware of their jobs and do take them seriously. As I stated many times this week the Mods handle their jobs in as timely a manner as possible, yet some of you guys still want to harp on them. Bitching at a mod about whatever it is you have a problem with isn't going to get you anywhere. As with any person, Curteous and Kind words will get you farther with a mod than rude gestures and hate mail. As a matter of fact, this hate mail bogs down their inboxes and takes time away from their job. It isn't cute, it isn't cool, it's rude and childish. Our mods do a great job, and anyone unable to recognize that is obviously in need of a new hobby.
Secondly, the Fat v. Skinny argument when I see it is normally well delivered, kudos. I've seen topics coming from each side, and even one from the middle. Intelligence/Wall of Texts are welcomed in the GD. Keep up mind stimulating arguments, okay?
Lastly, Most Loved/Hated GDers/Gaians topics have no relevant discussion and should not take place in the GD. It's a sad attempt at namedropping, but even more sad is the fact that people flock to these kinds of threads. Why? For the drama sure to ensue.
Okay, now that I've gotten that out of the way, it has been brought to my attention by a few users that the GD seems to lack "professionalism" and "intelligence". Wrong! Professionalism and Intelligence is here in the GD and actually encouraged most of the time, though most of you guys normally run for the "LOL PORN TROLL" and "LOL NAMEDROP" threads. Anyone who's looked at a thread by The Iconoclast or a few others knows that the GD has a sense of intelligence and professionalism, and that sense of intelligence and professionalism isn't just for mods either.

Professionalism and Intelligence: What do they mean to you? Are they important or normally ignored?
As you can tell, these discussion tags are getting smaller for a reason. I'm trying to get you guys to think for yourselves GD. YOu don't really need the discussion tags and we all know it. Now think OUTSIDE of the box. I don't aim for this to talk directly about the GD, I aim for you guys to draw conclusions from OTHER things based on events in the GD. Now I know you can do it. GO.
P.S. Yes, you guys are more than welcome to post in my journal. 3nodding
