I drew this up last night while watching the olimpics opening. I had been watching final fantasy: Advent Children earlier, so this guy is very much inspired from Vincent Valentine, it probably shows. Usually I outline and color instead of shade so my shading job is probably off, but its only a rough design.

best part: his expression is intense. very well done on the face.

Overall, it's pretty good. I agree that he does look a bit stiff. Also, his swords are at an angle where they would show at least a little from the side, unless they're short swords. Lastly, the way he's holding the sword is a tad off, unless you wanted it took seem as if it were slowly slipping out of his hands.
I love the style of the boots. Very well done. Also, the cape's design is fantastic, and the wrinkles/ripples in it are quite well done.

[Critique: I think there are too many straight lines, making the clothing and limbs look stiff. His waist/crotch seems to be pointing in a strange direction, while the rest of his body faces forward.]
