- Title: Mimir
- Artist: Bard
-
Description:
A commission for a tarot deck based on the Jotnar of Norse mythology. Mimir's wisdom was renowned throughout the nine worlds. After he died, Odin kept his head in a well where it might continue to dispense knowledge. Mimir's advice always came with a price. When Odin asked for a means to spy on his enemies Mimir's price was one of Odin's eyes. Those who treat Mimir with less respect are not so lucky: their skulls keep him company in his prison.
Here, Mimir is depicted as The Hanged Man. - Date: 12/11/2008
