Naryan had finally woken up, but he was obviously still about groggy. So, he let out this big yawn! He's such a sweetie.
I took the photo reference myself at the Memphis Zoo, using a Nikon D40. I decided to paint it in watercolor. Unfortunately, this isn't a good photo of the painting. Hopefully you still get the picture, though!

What I'm seeing here is that some of your observations are off. It's very nice from what I can see, but some things like the brickwork look like you observed but still simplified. It's hard to tell how much detail is really in there because it's a small image.
