: / Ok so funny story behind this one. I totally fail at drawing guys, so I thought I would do some practice sketches in a new style. I really liked how this one came out, so I showed it to my dad. He said (and I quote) "Its a cute devil GIRL" O_o Emphasis on the word "girl". .____. so it is now apparent that I DO in fact fail at drawing guys.

- Guys can be pretty hard, but the first thing I ever drew was a guy and I liked it. I just think it takes more time with them. Your shading is great. I rate this 5/5

- I could tell that it is a boy! Even from the little picture and the big! Dads just don't seem to know. One time my dad 'fixed' one of mine... it was horrible.... *shudder* he can draw too, but i'm praising the lord that i just let him get his hands on a copy of it. lol

The reason it looks like a girl is because the face shape is too soft to be a guy. Strengthen the features, like the jawline. Also, guys with short hair tend to spike it away from their head, wheareas girls do what this picture has. They get a pixie cut and just let it hang down softly.
