Description:
Setsuna Mudo from Angel Sanctuary. I'm happy with it. It's pen outlined. All the black is colored with marker, the rest is shaded with pencil. His wings are painted with ink. One thing I learned from art class, mixing ink and water, yay XD
I wanna draw Sakuya Kira just like this but even better! :c
[Kira is another char from the series if you don't know, and Setsuna's best friend]
FYI I did tweak it a bit on the comp. Made it a bit darker and blurred. - Date: 10/19/2009

- The wings have no shadow, and that causes them to look flat, like paper...you should look at some anatomy, cuz the arms proportions is a bit off...The picture's lack of shadow makes it a bit booring, and the wings is quite oddly possisioned...but you have tallent, and with a bit work, you can make pictures at a verry high level ;'D

- The bloom effect is overdone. Its possibly not even needed. The head is also very large for the body. And the body feels very flat. Look at studies of the human body under harsh lights and youll see that good shadows give the body volume. Also, the way youre applying the ink to the wings causes you to lose the texture from the drawing and more of a chaotic mess in the wings. When painting with inks, try to follow the contours of the feathers to keep that detail intact.
