Yes, the hair does look nice, but I like the play on the detail. Certain areas are detailed and others are simplified, seems to draw appropriate focus. Kudos (I haven't mastered that little trick. . .)
I remember when I drew the head like that (still do on occasion) Lots of talent here though, love the bow/ears - Report As Spam
