- Yes it is. Those are the Niagara Falls and the others are called Horseshoe Falls. Believe me, I should know. I live not too far from there and I've visited so many summer and have been on the Maid of the Mist more times than I can count. Everyone gets the name of the falls mixed up because Horseshoe Falls are more famous. These are Niagara Falls, right beside Horseshoe.
