'Twas the night before Christmas,
And through Barton Town,
There were parties and glamour,
And plenty of sound!
The crackling fire,
The snow on the trees,
Tunes from the carolers,
Sang through the breeze.
Inside the third house,
On the right of the street,
Was a small group of Gaians,
Who nibbled on treats.
The glow from the fireplace,
Gave the room a dreamy air,
Where even the adults believed,
Santa would soon be there.
As the night grew old,
And parties died down,
Soon all were at home,
In their beds sleeping sound.
Warm under their blankets,
Tummy's full from their snacking,
They were all unaware,
Of hooves on their roof tapping.
