The fire blazes
Dancing in the crisp air
Snowflakes twirl and swirl outside
Dancing with the wind
Children warm themselves by the light
Dreaming of sweet things,
Candycanes, sugar plums, and the like
The tree how it glitters!
Ornaments big and small
Reds and yellows and blues gallor!
Lights twinkle vividly in the room
Aglow with presents that have yet to be opened
Wrapped with love in mind
For the little ones in bed
Stockings filled to the bursting point
Filled with sweets and toys and other tiny things
