• Children get excited at this time of year,
    As the holidays spread good cheer

    Malls are filled with colourful delights,
    And houses are put up with bright lights

    Trees are brought in and decorated with vibrant orbs,
    It’s all so much to absorb

    There’s the smell of ginger in the air,
    And everyone finding someone something with tender loving care

    The ground outside is covered in snow,
    And carollers putting on a show

    Wrapped up presents are put under the tree,
    You never know what they’re going to be

    Then there’s the man that comes down the chimney,
    Who is as sweet as honey

    He leaves you presents and fills your stocking,
    And leaves you gifts that can be rather shocking

    But in the end it all becomes clear,
    Merry Christmas to all and have a happy New year!
