People buying presents
For the holiday
Thinking they’ll get bargains
On Black Friday
Make someone a present
They would love you more
Than they would if you gave them
Something from a store
You could write a poem
Or maybe make a card
Do the primary-schooler
It’s really not that hard
Sitting by the fire
Cold being expelled
I’m writing in my cards
Wishing everyone well
Whether you play dreidel
Or praise the old Saint Nick
Lighting a kinara or
Snowballing till you’re sick
Who needs cash
When you’ve got love?
Your love and friendship
Will always be enough
These holidays
