He wandered the desolate land blindly,
What had once been a paradise,
there was water, trees, life
beauty... peace... but now?
Nothing...
Nothing left...
But a blood red sun in a black sky
The burned remains of trees
The stark bones bleaching in the Light of the Red Sun
Cursed...
Ever Cursed...
In his dying breath he cried out,
Begged ...
Implored...
anybody, anything to save him
But alas his cries fell upon deaf ears.
The land was dead, not a living thing, not a sound
Dead.
Always dead.
Life faded from his eyes
Death to join the dead
And now his bones join the others
Bleaching in the light of the Red Sun
In the Cursed Land
Where the Earth Bleeds and the Land weeps

Description:
I was listening to, on repeat, a song called Moria by David Arkenstone (He wrote songs based off of the Lord of the Rings stories ^^)
And this little poem popped out of my head,
Yeah I know it's not christmassy or happy or all that jazz, but hey, we need a little grimness around here XD
Yeah I know it doesn't rhyme and whatnot, but this is called Freeverse. It's the feeling and the atmosphere I'm going for, not a song or anything.
