Snow swirled across the deserted playground
where a lonely snowman stood its ground
eyes and smile of coal, nose of a carrot
the stereotypical snowman
with the grin turning wider
and the scarf flapping about
it begins its walk
to the convenience around the the corner
slow, labouring, sliding steps
because don't you remember
it has no feet?
Slowly, square inch by square inch
it reaches its destination
aduls stare in horror and amazement
the snowman walks in
walking out a few minutes later with a bag of icecubes
after all, what are convenience stores for?
