As I walk through the woods, on that cold winters morn’.
I heard the world sigh, with a sound quite forlorn.
It was sad, the fall had dispelled
Since the snow had begun.
I laughed quiet hardily, it was a jovial sight.
For resting before be, to a cherub’s small delight
A small arctic hare caught in the snow.
Was jumping around, it was quite ‘to and fro’.
The snow had startled the poor wild thing.
I best not disturb it, and scare the poor thing.
The world shall be most merry, when the world is at peace
As I trudged through the slush at the bend of an iced over moor
I noticed a warm sight, a wreath on a door.
It was my fair gram’s, nestled into the scene.
Though it wasn’t quite seen, it made quite a scene.
All decked out in holly, and icy garland to boot
You would never guess, she was older than you.
Though her hair had lost luster, and her skin wasn’t fair
Her eyes held a twinkle, something we all share.
The world shall be most merry, when loved ones share a hearty greeting
Waving hello as I continued my way, I sat on a stump
My scarf ready to fray.
I fixed it in a jiff, a simple repair.
And once again on my trek, I did stop and stare.
To the miraculous sight, when the snow had just fallen
So did all fights!
The world shall be most merry, when the animals sleep.
The bears were not hunting, the fish were quite glad.
The birds were all nestled, the songs put to bed.
Even the foxes, tricksters they are, were curled in their burrows
Their stockpile not far from their wintry sleep.
As I shalt not hoard, for its theirs to keep.
As I whistled a tune, I made my long jaunt
Back to my own home, while in high spirits
I yelled to the heavens, the bird and the bees.
“The world shall be most merry, when winter will dawn!”
Though most of all....The World Shall Be Most Merry When Winter Will Dawn

- Title: They shall be most merry

- Description: This is a poem I wrote a while back. Just a simple thing...nothing much to say. The best song to listen to while reading this is Christmas / Sarajevo 12/24 (Instrumental), and Wizards in Winter (Instrumental) by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They are an amazing group and I highly suggest listening to them. The color I used it called Douglass Fir, the BBC code for it is #3F602B

- You're right. Christmas Eve Sarajevo is pretty much THE best Christmas song. Next, of course, to Hallelujah Light Has Come, by Barlowgirl =)
